It depends on your bird. I have 3 conures in the same cage and one loves to tear at the middle of this, one keeps going for the string that hangs it up, and one doesn’t bother with it. I’ve used it with cockatoos, amazons, macaws. Most love destroying it, but it doesn’t hold up long against their beaks - doesn’t mean they don’t love going at it while they have it. But then again, I’ve have some of those same species who won’t bother with it. You have to know your bird and what they like. I’ve bought this multiple times for birds and will continue to do so for those who love to destroy things.

My macaw loves to destroy these. They only last a day or two at most, and he doesn't care which one he gets as long as one shows up every so often. He'll sit there for a long time holding it conveniently and tearing chunk after chunk off. After all, the mark of a good parrot toy is that it is destructible and the more the mess the better. Our cockatiel loves them too, but they do last a bit longer for her. Highly recommend for other birds.

Took 2 Eclectic 4 weeks to destroy. They ignored all other wood toys till this one gone.I also smeared Peanut Butter in the holes.I used to have a Cockatoo and the toy lasted 3-4 days only. Gave him a new one every 2 weeks. So proud my Eckies do not stand 24/7 destroying this chew toy. Helps that there is also 10 other toys in cage but this is only one made to chew.

My moustache parakeet loves it. I seem to have a lot of luck with kabob toys and my flock. This one works for my moustache parakeet because she is a HUGE shredder and this one takes her a little more time than the smaller versions.

good quality product however my cockatiels dont like it alot will be beter for larger parrot types amazons or african greys i gess.

Bought it along with the one piece of wood and my bird (African gray) almost died today. Came home to find him dangling by one foot with the string around his ankle because he had chewed up a piece in the middle first and got twine tightly wound around his ankle. Lots of blood, plucked feathers from panicking and he won't put weight on it. Expensive trip to emergency vet now as it's after 5.Please tie it to the side of the cage with several straps so it's not hanging and a dangerous toy your bird. Nothing against the company, price or shipping but this is not a safe bird toy as it is designed!!!!!!!

My budgies love this toy it only last them one day as the females chew it up pretty fast.

Meine Wellensittiche lieben dieses Holz. Sie sind damit wirklich gut beschäftigt. Auch meine knabberwütigen Hennen sind damit zufrieden gestellt. Da das Vogelspielzeug Mucho Grande auch ausreichend groß für Wellensittiche ist, kommen sich meine vier Wellensittiche nicht in die Quere. Ich kann es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen, weil meine Vögel wirklich großen Spaß daran haben.

My Alexandrine Parrot LOVES this and the Ole Bird Kabob. As soon as I put this in his cage he starts to chew at it. It keeps him busy and entertained.
