The Night Before Christmas Hardcover – Picture Book, September 1, 2014

The story is true to the original (no revolving the pipe to be PC for example). The pictures are photos of the pictures made from modeling clay or similar which is a cute technique. The pictures don't always match the words......the mice ARE stirring because it's a mouse's house we are looking at! And the reindeer are not tiny, they are normal sized reindeer, driven by a santa mouse, who land on the mouse family's house in a fallen log. While the text describes the pipe, santa has a candy cane in his mouth. And the baby mice are not snug in their beds, they are doing what most children do esp in large groups which is making a ruckus and not going to bed.This is truly an adorable publication. If you are looking for a night before Christmas book this is one of the best.

What can I say? This book is a classic. We read it every Christmas Eve and my kids know most of it by heart.

I love this book, its old world and beautifully captures the spirit in a traditional way. This should be a must-have in any kids book collection to pass on from generation to generation. :) love, love it!

An excellent reillustrating of an old favourite. Barbara Reid's are lively and appealing. I expect my grandkids will love it!
