I have tried numerous things to treat my pugs Collie Nose. Her poor little nose had a large hard crusty shelf like layer at the top of it and it looked so painful. Since I've tried everything under the sun I was extremely skeptical of ordering this product but literally after only ONE application I saw a huge difference and after the 3rd application I couldn't even tell that she ever had Collie Nose. My dog usually licks things off her nose right when I put them on but nope not this stuff because it's instantly absorbed. Easy Peasy!! I also think that it would work well on my dogs paws too when they get dry.This is a soft solid so you have to kind of press down through the semi hard top layer and scoop out a tiny bit. It's greasy but it's instantly absorbed so there's no mess, not even on your fingers. I can tell it could be a spill-able oily mess real quick so be sure to keep this in a cool place out of the direct sunlight because it will melt fast. If it does I'm sure that you can just pop it in the freezer for a bit. This comes in a small tin and I thought I'd be out in no time but it actually goes a long way and works so well that it'll last forever! This is an amazing product and I am so very thankful that my groomer recommended it!***Ohhhh and I did notice when searching for this product that there are many different dog breeds pictures on the tins. Different breed pictures cost different prices. It's all the same folks so it you're not picky on whose pictures on your tin I'd go with the cheapest one as long as it's made by the same company and it's the same product.

My poor pug had a crusty nose. I tried vaseline, but it didn't seem to help. He didn't like this being put on his nose, and (tried) to lick it off as soon as I put it on. The first week, I put on 3-4 applications, and his nose became visibly healthier. Now I apply once a week (when he isn't looking). He licks most of it off, but some does get absorbed because his nose looks great!Very much recommended.

Our vet told us our pug would need surgery in order to get rid of the crust that was growing on her nose. Never owning a pug before I believed him and began saving up for the expensive surgery. After doing a little research I stumbled upon stories about pugs and dry noses. More research led to nose butter and the various brands. I took a chance and purchased this one. In only 1 month this was the before and after! My pugs nose is completely healed WITHOUT surgery! I also sent this my vet to show that surgery was not needed. My poor dog was suffering while I was trying to save for this expensive unnecessary surgery that my vet told me was needed all while I just could have purchased this inexpensive product and had her nose healed in a month. Give it a try I promise it works! I swear by it! We are even trying the paw butter!

I wish I would have taken a before picture to share. My Pomeranian's nose was so bad. It was white and crusty and looked exactly like the frayed edges of a rope. It looked like her nose was coming apart. My groomer suggested this and I have only used it 2x so far. I could not believe the difference after 1x. The white crusty look was gone after the first night. I used again last night for the 2nd time, and I can already see it is softening up. I still looks frayed, I am sure it is going to take a while since her nose was so bad, but I am already a believer!

After reading other reviews I pointed this out to my mom as my nephew living with her has a pug,with a very dry nose! We'd never had a pug before and were unsure what to do for the best. We've been using this for about 1.5 weeks and her nose is just as soft as the yorkie! For some reason a pugs short about makes it harder for the pugs nose to stay wet resulting in a her dry and painful nose! After the first few days you notice a major difference. She does have a big habit of licking her nose still to try and mositure it but it feels like a normal dogs nose!

I use this on my older pugs nose. As a pup, Joppy used to stick her nose between the crack in the brick wall so she could see what the dogs next door were doing. Over time her nose became indented and for some reason it tends to crack. I apply this to relieve her nose from becoming too dry & crusted. It works but care must be taken to prevent it from clogging her nostrils. She fights me on it and will rub her face in anything to get it off (then I reapply to make sure her nose is sufficiently protected). It's a must have for her. Our other Pug never had a problem 👌🏻

This semi solid nose butter is the answer to hyper keratosis on your dog’s nose. Our pug has so much that can build up on his nose that, if I don’t get to it quickly, it can completely block his nose for breathing. This paste softens the over growth and it most often sloughs off on its own without any pulling or rubbing by me. It leaves his nose clean and soft. I usually rub a small amount on my finger and it quickly melts with my body heat, making it easy to apply. I docthis most every night before his bedtime and it keeps his nose in great shape. I highly recommend this product for scruffy noses!

The balm seems to be good quality and works pretty well. My pug absolutely hates it, though. She's actually afraid of the tube and runs off if she sees us with it.My biggest complaint is that the balm isn't soft enough. It requires you to push down to get good coverage, which is why I think my pug dislikes it. I had hoped it'd be easier than using my finger, but I wound up gooping it onto my finger, then putting it on her snout so it was softened up.If you're dog is tolerant, this would probably be great, but I wouldn't purchase it again.
