RESCUE! Outdoor Fly Trap - Reusable - 3 Traps

We were desperately looking for something to help manage the fly population around our house because it felt like every single time we opened the door, a fly would sneak inside. After coming across so many glowing reviews, we decided to give the RESCUE! Outdoor Fly Trap a try. I bought the 3-pack right off the bat so we would have plenty of traps to hang at strategic points around our property as needed. The traps are extremely easy to use and come with clear, simple instructions. All you have to do is cut open the bait package included inside the jar, dump the powder contents into the reusable trap container, and fill it up with water. Once you screw the lid back on and pull up the top cap to expose the trap opening, it starts working right away. The results were astounding—the traps started catching flies almost immediately. Within just two weeks, we had caught several hundred flies, and by three weeks, the containers were completely full. I was absolutely amazed at how effectively they performed. With a cat, dog, and chickens running around our property, flies are a constant challenge, but since installing these traps, we are seeing noticeably fewer flies around the house and vastly more trapped inside where they belong. Just keep in mind that there is a distinct smell associated with the attractant once it gets working, so you will definitely want to hang them a bit away from your porch or places where you hang out. Overall, these are a total game-changer, and I definitely recommend them to anyone fighting outdoor flies!

I have a few dogs at my home, I feel that I am studious and careful when it comes to me scooping my dogs bowel movements. Sadly I have noticed my many neighbors are not, and as such, I find that we all have a very serious vector issue - flies. Originally I used a fly swatter, and although I became quite proficient with hitting the little boogers, I felt that as I was simply spitting in the wind and not capturing what I needed. Ultimately I graduated to the bug-a-salt, a fun device that uses salt to eliminate the problem, but once again, the safety and efficacy of the device left me wanting for more. Finally I purchased the disposable version of this unit, and although I noticed a quick and substantive decrease in flies, I felt that throwing the containers away was a waste. I have been buying these containers for the past 4 years, and have found that they last about two years before they become to fragile and begin leaking the fly attractant and smelling up the place. THe ability to fill these and simply set them out by far has the easiest use of all the devices used, they capture the majority of adult and most junior flies, and contain them with no issues, I typically empty them out every month, wash them clean and refill with attractant and water. THis only leaves me the issue of refilling water during the hotter months. As far as the device is concerned, the attractant has a very pungent odor, one that mimics the smell of an out house, the attractant itself is not sticky, but does stain the skin with odor if allowed to spill on you. I personally use gloves, and this prevents me from taking the odor with me. I strongly recommend this device and would encourage anyone experiencing flies to try this, the only caveat (besides what I listed on handling), would be not to use indoors or near spaces that you frequent/sit at, as the attractant is very foul smelling and the flies tend to stay near the device until they are caught.

Wow, I guess it stinks, but the flies love that, don’t they?? We were having an awful summer with flies around our chicken coop…. But this has controlled the fly population and hubby has already ordered refills, it’s working so good. The containers are not garish, they appear presentable and you have no idea what they are until you look closely. The fly attraction is evident the first day! The container are durable, we have been using all summer and plan on keeping them going as long as the flies persist. I especially love the chemical free aspect, in case it did fall or get knocked off its hanger it will be safe in the coop. It may stink….but it’ll be safe. Hubby said it is smelly when dumping. Only caution…. Our dog was very interested in the stinky mess at disposal. Hubby had to carefully dispose of to make sure the pup didn’t get into it and roll in it. Seems crazy, I don’t notice the smell when I’m out in the yard near where the traps are hanging at all. But guess our dog (and the flies) do. Yay!!!

Can’t believe how quickly this little trap has eliminated flies around our doorways. It does have an odor to attract flies but nothing like other traps. I like that it is reusable! Highly recommend!

I ordered this three pack. I followed directions and filled it with the solution it came with. Hung it about 30 feet away. The flies loved it. But the smell was horrible. Left me gagging. I threw that one away and put up another. Instead of using their solution, I added water and a couple small pieces of raw chicken. Now it works great, and filling up with flies, without that nasty smell!

I had a cow move in next door and the flies last year were insane! I put all three of these up just inside my fence line and was able to use the deck again! Within minutes, the flies were jumping in and didn't stop. I live in a very dry climate so they dried out kind of quickly for me so I added water a few times and shook them a bit and they just kept working for me. I will buy these again! They have worked better than anything else I have tried.

Everything you read about the smell is true. The main ingredient is rotting egg, which I guess is just to get the party started. I've placed all three traps out in my backyard, and nature is disgusting. We have a lot of flies. People ask why, and I say, I don't know, but we do. I'd take a picture but no. Anyway, I assume after a few days in this miserable Tennessee heat, all the flies that have already died will rot, and more flies will come attracted to that, and the cycle will go on and on until Fall finally arrives and they die off naturally. A couple of things. These are billed as reusable. There's no way I'm emptying these out and reusing them. I gag at the thought of rotting anything, so these are going straight into the garbage on trash day. I'm sorry environment, but I just can't. Also, as mentioned, the smell is bad, but it's not so noticeable if they're behind a fence or downwind. The whole concept is repulsively disgusting, but the execution is pretty flawless and we've easily caught several hundred flies in less than a week.

This is the product that works exactly as it supposed to -pros Catches all the flies -cons Smells like a dead body and also attracts more flies. Put it 30 feet away from your house. Or give it to the neighbors as a gift lol

Picture is after 2 days Videos is after 5 days I’m cheap and was thinking about spending this $50, now I’ve put 2 of them and think I need to charge my neighbours for those beauty. They word FABULOUSLY, strong bad odor from those boxes but the amount of flies dying is unbelievable, they said good for 30 days, doubt it will hold enough fly! Didn’t hang it, straight on the floor! Just buy it and be flies free! Just sad that they don’t have the same product for mosquitoes

I read another review about a person being cheap and they still found these worth the money! I totally agree. In 2 days one container of mine was half full of flies. Drastically cut down the flies in the barnyard!

Great don’t need to buy bag ones anymore. Take couple to lake site and one for deck at home. Fills fast.
