Excellent resource for pastors and laypeople
I graduated twice from an SBC Seminary and felt I had a good grasp of the Cooperative Program. Yet I was amazed at how much I learned from this book. It answered questions I didn't know that I had! I would highly recommend it to pastors, staff members, church leaders, and lay people! It is an excellent treatment of how we are Better Together as we seek to take the Gospel to the nations!

Great CP reference/primer for the church
Drs. Matz and Yeats provide an easy to read and concise book on how we as Southern Baptists are better together throughout cooperating together. The short chapters conclude with a few questions that the reader, or a small group, can ponder/answer aloud. This introductory book will be a great resource for church planters, those new to the SBC, or long-time church members who may wish to refresh their understanding of how the Cooperative Program works.

Accessible resource perfect for our church
I ordered a copy of this book hoping it would provide a resource for me to share with the lay leaders in my church. Found it accessible both in terms of price and content - exactly what I was looking for. Appreciate that each chapter is set up with study questions at the end that point toward learning more about SBC resources and practical steps for engagement. Will be running through this study with church members this summer.

Sales pitch for Cooperative Program.
It was simply an overview of the operations of the CP. I was writing a paper and would have preferred more understanding and depth. Maybe an analysis of current issues. It did neither. From reading this book, I got no sense that there were other views or that there were trends and options for the future. It was simply a promotional piece to promote the CP. I felt that I should have been paid to read it, or that it should have been free. At least it was an easy read and did not cost much.
