Q: Do the stamps stick to the album pages? If not, how are they properly held in place?

You NEVER glue or stick any stamp to any page.!!! In stock books there are slots for any stamp. When you are ready to put into or onto your album pages you put each stamp in a black mount. The brand I usually use is PRINZ. But there lots of brands. Never ever GLUE a stamp any where.

Q: Will these binders hold sheets of stamps?

Depends on the size of the sheets, I have with several sheets of stamps, but mostly smaller sheets, I do have one page which is cover with sheets of about 4 Manama Ajman United Emerites Stamps Space stamps that I have not had time to put on stock card paper yet, They take up the whole page, but slip out a lot, still mostly they are held in the book. It does best with small sheets, about 4 inches by 6 inches are about the larges I like to put in the book, for sorting, But for premit display I slip my whole sheet in page protectors with stockcard paper behind them. Sometimes I even take the time to print on on the stockcard paper what it is. But normally like in my Minute man books if it calls for a whole sheet it tells all about the whole page. The problem with the stockcard paper is then you can't see the back of the stamp, If I was rick I would then buy a second sheet to slip in the back, and they would both stay pressed against the stockcard, or I would just slip the stamp out if I wanted to look at the back which is what I currently do. I find using two stockcard works better, I normally have a few that I have messed up, so I face them in, that way you don't see the writing and you just see the white on the backs, And it keeps the stamp nice and proctected ready for the book. But to answer your question, yes you can stick a sheet in there, the smaller the sheet the better it works. Since I use my for sorting this comes in handy.

Q: About how many stamps will this hold? Are the pages double-sided?

The pages are double sided and you get 32 of them (16 double sided as the description and /16 in the code name mentions). Each page has 6 strips. Depending on the size of the stamps, you can fit from 6 to 42 stamps per page without overlapping them.If you need more space look for the larger books with 9 strips. The /16 is a good size and the /32 is very large.
