McCormick Rubbed Sage, 0.5 Oz

Use sage often when cooking up breakfast sausages or making a pork recipe (particularly enjoy sage with pork items). The container the sage comes in is very secure and airtight. I can use it and hear it snap shut. When opening it for the first time I do not remove the entire protective covering under the lid, I normally only take off half so that when dispensing the safe I have more control. If needed I can always take off the top and dispense it that way for large dishes. Back to the sage itself. It smells great when opened, nice and fresh. When making breakfast sausage I normally sprinkle it on top while cooking and the flavor comes through in the finished product. I do this because our stores sometimes run out of sage sausage and my husband loves the sage flavoring (as I do). It pairs nicely with the eggs and bagel. Gives breakfast a little boost.

I live in an area where home made sausage is more common than store bought and I love some sage mixed in mine.

I Bought this spice for a back up since I was not able to obtain my regular organic spice before preparing my Turkey and Dressing. We used it on the Smoked Turkey and in the old fashion dressing , and actually not bad! The Sage was very fresh and quite a bit cheaper! Can't go wrong with this name brand. This is fresh, tastes good and the expiration date is way ahead in time too... Decent price too. Most of the time I can't find it at my local store bc they always seem to be sold out. Quick Shipping!
