My kids (5,3,and 2) love this cd. Their favourite has to be Fantastic Mr Fox. So much so that we have hardly listened to the other stories as we always have to start again once Mr Fox has finished. I would say it is aimed at age 4 and upwards

My 7 y.o. has found a new quiet place (lucky me!): she now loves to spend time in her room listening to this CD over and over, giggling and drawing pictures inspired by the stories. Win win win!

My grandchildren love listening to these Roald Dahl stories on car trips.They appeal to all ages as only Dahl can and are beautifully narrated. All children should grow up with books by Dahl. Brilliant!!

I love Hugh Laurie's voice! His accent is awsome! These stories are really cute too!

The whole family loves it!!!!! Great text read by great actors. A special mention to the Giraffe, the Pelly and me, I could listen to it 15 times a day.

I couldn't agree more with Mr Kelly of Manchester. These actors have all brought these stories to life in their own way, and of the four, I would say (somewhat surprisingly) that Stephen Fry's is the least listened to by our family, and Martin Jarvis' excellent Mr Fox is truly fantastic and listened to on every car journey, whether we have time to get to the end or not! My nearly 5 year old loves the whole collection. I bought them when he was having trouble getting to sleep - they didn't help, he was too enthralled and still awake at the end! So the CDs went into the car and they have come into their own. Our 2 year old, who I'm sure still doesn't 'get' any of Dahl's stories, calls out "Mr Fox Mr Fox!" from the back seat and so it goes into the CD player and the grownups score half an hour of peace in the front seat, though I haven't yet tired of listening to it myself! Martin Jarvis is wonderful in this version. Geoffrey Palmer just makes me grin, I imagine him sucking on a Werthers Original while reading and smiling laconically... he's made me like Esio Trot a whole lot more. Hugh Laurie is the just the right amount of kooky in the Giraffe, the Pelly and Me. Great casting for all four stories.Excellently read, wonderful character voices and scene setting which really brings these stories to life. This version will definitely appeal to younger listeners as just the right mix of dramatisation and good storytelling. A great buy and perfect for car journeys!

This comes with 4 stories with wonderfully read especially Mr. Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Giraffe, Perry and me. Fantastic Mr. Fox was read so realistically, it was almost scared especially very small children who are not used to TV/Media stimulant, but it's so wonderful even to grown ups too :). Our most favorite of all is Giraffe, Perry and me. It's such wonderful and sweet story and read beautifully, you can't get bored listening 100s times literally!
