I own two of these: a Boom 2 and this Boom 3. Every time I use it with people around I seem to sell another one. The amount of sound these little things cranks out is remarkable. The quality is really good. The feature that allows you to stream to multiples (party up) is great, however it’s best to leave the device you’re streaming from stationary with a fairly clear line of sight to the multiple devices otherwise Bluetooth can get choppy. I’ve used these in boats in the ocean, at holiday parties, and even a friends wedding reception. Best portable Bluetooth out there. If you’re in the market for something like a Beats Pill or a JBL speaker consider this instead.

You won't go wrong with this little guy, especially if you love loud music! You can tke it anywhere and plays really loud! Battery life lasts a good while...quality purchase for an amazing experience....

I own lots of high end audio KEF R5's parasound amp etc. I like audio to be natural and not exaggerated. This speaker does just that. If youre expecting big bass from a little speaker like this youre just looking for something inaccurate because something this small shouldnt have good bass. But in a smaller room put it in the corner, play with placement and it has great bass for its size, without making it extra boomy. I bought this for my parents because they have a blutooth rig from their tv and thats how they listen to tv so it had to sound good for dialogue. I also own a boom 2 so I wanted to compare. I compared in different placements apples to apples with dialogue and music. This speaker definitely wins the head to head. Its more flat sounding and has much better bass. At first I thought the boom 2 sounded better for dialogue it might actually in some scenarios. I think the trebles are just boosted a bit much on the boom 2 but the bass isnt there. The Boom 3 has great treble mid and mid bass its definitely a step up for music. The jury is still out for dialogue at low volumes the top end on the 2 is sharper but might be exaggerated.

I was also looking for a product that was durable and could hold up in the elements. I needed something that was also waterproof and compact enough that I could put it in a bag and take it with me.After some detailed research and reviews. I decided to purchase the Ultimate Ears Boom Three Portable Bluetooth wireless speaker from my Amazon account. There were a few color and size options to choose from. I chose the black color, and the medium size, seven inches high by two and one-half inches in diameter. This is large enough to have decent quality sound and compact to fit into my bag. The cost for the speaker was $115.00 and arrived in original product packaging enclosed in a standard Amazon package. The box was clearly labeled with a description of the speaker, and instructions, including a four-foot charging cord, a small loop, for hanging the speaker up, and a soft storage bag. The device took approximately six hours to fully charge through the USB to type C charging port located on the backside.The product is extremely easy to charge and set up. It was also easy to pair to your cell phone once you selected a name for the speaker. The power button is located on the top making it easy to turn on and off and there is also an indicating light it makes a unique sound when the device is paired with your smartphone. The volume level can be adjusted either on the speaker or your smartphone, which is genuinely a nice feature to have. I was reluctant to test for water resistance. But as I found out, it is! I dunked it under water for three minutes and when I pulled it out, it kept playing– this was perfect. Another positive feature of this product is that it was able to maintain its continuous playing charge for up to eight hours. The quality of the sound was also incredibly good based on the size of the speaker. This product turned out to be exactly what I was looking for and was worth the price.Only a few drawbacks to this Bluetooth wireless speaker are that it cannot be paired with other speakers, so you cannot listen to multiple speakers in stereo at the same time. I would also recommend not buying a black or a dark color speaker because the Texas sun is ridiculously hot, and the speaker would heat up, I would have chosen a lighter color. Also, an important note is when you are finished charging the Bluetooth speaker be sure to close the rubber cap to protect the charging port. One other suggestion I would recommend if you purchased this speaker, is to keep a USB wall charger and a DC car charger handy, to allow for changes on the go or in your vehicle.I recommend purchasing this speaker particularly if you like to float on the river, or tube or enjoy outdoor water sports. One of the two UE Boom 3 Speakers was defective. It will not take a charge.

I also have the larger mega boom, and to be honest the sound quality is the same for both. I am by no means an audiophile but I love music and work at a venue for outdoor live performances and this little boom delivers.
