Excellent value and quality, but go a size bigger
This is a long term review of 9 months almost daily use.I have worn Hi-Tec walking boots for many years and they have always treated me well and these are no exception.I have always found with Hi-Tec walking boots that I needed to go a size larger than my usual size for formal and casual shoes, as I normally wear a uk size 9, but need a uk size 10 in these, but this takes into account for wearing thicker socks.I had decided I needed a more lightweight pair of walking boots to accompany my winter and leather walking boots, which are also made by Hi-Tec. These Banderra boots looked to be exactly what I was after and I ordered the size 10, as predicted they fitted perfectly. These boots are extremely comfortable and required virtually no breaking in. I have worn these for the past 9 months on almost a daily basis on a mix of pavement, light trail, coastal paths and field walks. After walking aprox 1500 miles (5+ miles a day), these boots have held up very well, still showing very little signs of wear. They are so comfortable I tend to wear them even if i'm just popping to the shops. I have worn these mainly in dry conditions, but I have been caught out in torrential rain on longer walks and these boots have proved very water resistant and my feet have remained dry even when the rest of my clothes have been soaked through. When out walking in hot weather my feet have also remained dry with any moisture wicked away from my feet.As with all walking equiptment it is important to maintain it properly to ensure longevity and I have treated these boots with Nikwax Nubuck & Suede spray to ensure they remain waterproof and in optimum condition.I recommend these boots as they are excellent value for money, lightweight, comfortable and hard wearing and I expect to get many more miles out of them yet.

Still going strong
Bought these for my son before his first DofE expedition. Since then, these shoes have gone through a few DofE expeditions, hikes and overnight school trips. They are still going strong and son finds them very comfortable on long hikes. The water proofing is also holding strong so far. I hope to get another couple of years of good service from these hiking boots.

Good product, good price.
I wanted a new pir of hiking boots for a walking holiday with HF Holidays. Because I had access to a discount rate with Hi-Tec because of my membership of HF, I went to the Hi-Tec website to find the price of this particular style of boot. When I went to Amazon to see the price I could get them for, I was amazed to find them cheaper than the HiTec disciounted price !! So I bought them and they arrived four days earlier than I expected. I've not tested them on a hike yet but they seem to be exactly as pictured and described.

Shoddy
The media could not be loaded. I’ve ordered a fair few pairs of these over the years and the quality has seriously dropped recently. On every pair I’ve had, the sole splits off usually at the seam closest to the big toe, the waterproofing fades after the first puddle, the tread wears away within a couple of months and the cushioned soles collapse or the rubber sole splits open leaving them really uncomfortable… all of this is just from every day walking the dog, I haven’t even taken them on any tough trails in recent years. They used to be the most comfortable out of the box boots you could get and would last a year or so at least but now they’re shoddy and fall apart after a few months of general use.

So far so good
Purchased these for work and so far they seem to be doing the job. Definitely light weight and easy on yhe feet. The fit was good, I'm a 7 -7.5, so I went for the 8's and with a sock ideal. Only issue, though this seems to be getting better with wear are the soles. Initially on some small pebbled wet surfaces they tended to feel a bit slippy, but as the soles have roughed up, this is becoming less apparent. All in all, for my use a good buy.

Comfortable out of the box.
I walk about 35 miles a week. I needed a cheap 'summer' boot with ankle support and this fitted the bill (I have professional standard boots for winter). It is fairly light and comfortable straight out of the box. Don't know how waterproof it is because I haven't tested that, what I can say is that it is not really breathable. There were sweat marks on my socks. Nothing too uncomfortable though. The tread seems very grippy. I don't know how durable they will be. They replaced a pair of HiTec V-Flash lite which i had for about 5 years or more and have covered over 8,000 miles. They are not made anymore though. I would be happy to get 2 or 3 years out of these hopefully.
