Nice toy robot for learning the basics of programming for the little ones

Pros: Super easy to understand, which is why I'm heartbroken for my nephew who really wanted to play with it!Cons: The first one we got didn't light up correctly and didn't transfer all the commands to the helmet. Because it was a Christmas gift, we didn't think to test it before giving it to my 5yr nephew, but since he loved it so much we tried one more just in case we just got a lemon. The second one came, and it had clearly already been opened! I try it out and it looks like the lights to upload to the helmet function like in the youtube video we found, and indeed I could get it to perform a full 12 steps... as long as none of those steps moved the robot forward. Any time there was a forward command the robot just stops, makes a noise like it's done, and shuts off. As I'm sure you can imagine, that makes the robot completely useless for traveling on the play mat to solve the puzzles. Totally disappointed ☹️

Smells horrible! The box , the toy everything! Horrible!

This is a well made and easy to use/teach coding toy for young children. Excellent instruction manual. It has 3 levels of difficulty. My 4 year old grandson loves to play with it; but only with someone to share in the fun. Not sure that trying to have a small lchild do this on their own would be worthwhile or instructive.

The product described by the manufacturer was acceptable but the "as received product " was used and the box was damaged.
