Amana Tool - 55510 E-Z Dial Slot Cutter 4 Wing x 2-1/8 Dia x 1/4-1/2 x 1/2" Shank

I’ve now used this cutter a half dozen times and couldn’t be happier. Counting the rotations to get to exact cut can be a challenge if I get distracted but it gets gets ets you real close for a test cut. It beats shims and bearings. It’s a little pricey but worth the money. The markings could be clearer in red or white to help count the rotations. Leaves a beautiful cut. I may get the companion bit, 1/8 to 1/4, but waiting to see how often I really use a slot of less than a quarter inch.

I already own and use the larger version of this bit. With slight adjustment and testing on scrap material, it gives a perfect fit for the panel in a door frame. With the wide variance in thickness of the ply panels available today, these bits are worth every penny for those who want a job done right.
