Just got...not yet convinced it was a good buy
Just received today. Quick delivery. Love the look, price and ease of using. After wiping down to make sure no residual metal in grinder, put pepper in one, salt in the other. Love how easy to use. Spring action. Give a perfect grind size, not powdery and not too chunky for pepper. Same results with salt. But, after pressing a few times quite quickly ( testing how it can hold up to much use as I have some brawny boys), one of the sleeves did detach and move up the grinder. Easy fix to slide back down, just not sure if it's secure. Didn't try this again with the one I filled with salt. As my title mentions, not yet convinced it was a good but will update after some use.

These are NOT good. Nope Nope keep looking.
Using your thumb to push down on theses salt and pepper mills is exhausting and painful. The metal sleeve on the outside of the mill also detaches and slides up which then requires you grab it with the other hand. Whole pepper corns take forever to actually be ground into your food. With salt in the mill a light push is all that's required as a full push down would ruin your eggs. I give them a single star because I don't think I am allowed to give a NO star.

Hard to use
There is a metal sleeve which seems to serve no purpose, it makes it impossible to use one handed as it slides up and down. We removed the sleeve which helps a little but still hard to use. Very fine grind and you have to push it too many times to actually season for cooking which is when you really need a one handed grinder

Good Idea, Terrible Design.
Had used these at a hotel and decided to buy some myself. Unfortunately, this product broke the first day. But it wasn't so much that they "broke" as they are a flawed design. The top metal sheath separates from the glass and repeatedly slides up making it impossible to use with one hand. Save your money and buy another brand that isn't so cheaply made.

Best as a pepper grinder. Salt corrodes it.
I bought a pair, with intent to use one for pepper (the labeled usage) and the other for salt. However, the "stainless" steel in this version does not stand up to salt. There is a similar product on Amazon that does state it can hold salt. Next time I will buy that one. This package of two is nice for people who need more than one pepper grinder. The reason for only four stars under Easy to Use is that it can be a bit hard for people with short or slender fingers to operate the push button style grinder. The more expensive ones are easier to operate.

horrible quality
Save yourself the money. It is too light weight. When I filled one the mechanism was so weak it could barely grind the pepper. The other one had a broken metal sleeve that fell off the first time I used it. This is a copy of a more expensive look at higher end brand name stores but along with the low price was such bad quality it could not be used. I threw it away rather than waste the time to send it back.

Defective
The metal sleeves are not attached to the rest of the device and required I super glue them

Great in theory, poor in design.
Great in theory but poor in design. The metal sleeve slides up when you use one hand to press. So I usually need to use two hands to hold the metal sleeve in place while my other hand pushes the button on top which defeats the purpose of this being used with just 1 hand

Nice, neat little set
This is a nice little set, it is light, looks nice and simple to use. Just a few notes:pepper grinderYou can’t fit a huge amount of peppercorns into the cannister. I made the mistake of filling the grinder. If you do that, you will notice that you will struggle to screw the bottom part back in and you will not be able to press the button down at the top AT ALL. So, I emptied half the amount out and that did the trick and now works perfectly.Salt grinderThe issue I have is that if I shake the grinder, even slightly the salt comes out leaving a round salty circle mess. I used coarse salt, but I guess it wasn’t coarse enough. I will be buying rock salt and trying that.Otherwise, it is a neat salt and pepper grinder and I like them. As you can see by the picture, they are the same length as a standard pen, so not very big at all, but I didn’t need large ones, so I am happy with this set.

Look good on any table
Attractive, stylish, tall & slim small grinders for any table or kitchen, delivers small amounts so you don't over season dishes.Perfect for the smaller hands & no mess when standing upright where twist grinders always leave a small pile on the table, I have small arthritic hands but I found theses much easier than the twist grinder designed ones that are difficult for me to use.Filling up can be tricky but used a teaspoon & cupped hands around the top to guide salt in, peppercorns were easy to just tip in.Easy to wash & dry too.Daughter now wants a set for Uni but she can have my twist grinder ones!

Small but perfectly formed
I ordered these salt & pepper mills. I must admit that when they arrived they were much smaller than I expected, however they are great. The rock salt is ground to a very fine powder, which is great. They are really sturdy and you just press the top down to grind the salt and peppercorns. I now really like the fact that they are “small” as they don’t dominate my dining table!

if you want rust you've come to the right place
whilst the aesthetically pleasing and sturdy / robust feel of these herb / spice grinders is unquestionable, i feel that i must point out a few flaws. namely the fact that they are not, as claimed, one handed use, as the lovely metallic body part that you hold onto is free roaming and simply travels up the body of the grinder as you hold onto it and push down on the plunger with your thumb. this i imagine, could be fixed with a spot of super glue, but meh, it's easy enough to use both hands to operate the one handed device so not really a massive problem.next up is the corrosion issue, after only one month, yes, 4 simple weeks, the rust that has formed inside the grinding aperture has begun making it's way out and onto the food that's being prepared and served.i imagine that if these grinders had been designed not to be used as grinders and were instead entirely for decorative purposes, i'm sure that i would have been more than pleased, if my doctor had recommended that i increase my rust intake, again, more than pleased, BUT, as they were designed and intended to be used as grinders of all types of salts and spices, for me, they fall pretty short of the mark.

Nice looking but flawed quality..
Nice looking mills although little smaller than I expected. My main gripe is that after a few days, when use with one hand the metal sheath comes away from the rest of the barrel and makes the mill useless as slips every time now use.. same for both salt and pepper. Unfortunately had to throw out.
