Works perfectly
This is a great piece of equipment for doing laundry in campers, RVs, or dorm rooms. It is really easy to use, gets small loads of laundry clean and fresh, which is great if you've been fishing all day. We've had good success using the machine with a 5 gal. bucket filled almost to the top with fresh water and 2 laundry pods for a 10-minute wash cycle. Then, replace the soapy water with fresh, clean water, and do another 5 or 10-minute rinse cycle. If your clothes are really dirty, you can do a third 5-minute rinse cycle. Our 5 gal. bucket has raised rings around the top edge, so the machine's back clamps won't secure it to the bucket. We fixed this problem by clipping two large binder clips on either side of the machine and securing it to the bucket by tying a small bungee cord around the machine's handle and hooking the other end to the opposite side of the bucket. You can find short bungee cords here on Amazon or at Home Depot.

Great product
I purchased this product in an attempt to effectively wash clean previously used mop heads. This product works well.

Does the trick
Ok. I have only had this for a month and I like it.1. It works. It does its job adequately. I think the discolored water in the bucket is fabric dye, not dirt, so I would not say it cleans better than a washing machine, but it does properly agitate the water and the clothes do spin around. It is far superior to manual meditation, which I had been doing before I bought this agitator.2. It was difficult to find the right container for it. I started with a 5 gal. paint bucket, but the clamp did not close properly due to the ridges on the bucket, so the agitator was not secure and safe. Then tried a 10 gal. stock pot. It was too big and heavy when filled. I finally settled on a 20 qt. beverage dispenser with a spigot to drain the water out. That works almost perfectly, and does the trick.3. I use it in my shower along with a Panda spinner, which really gets the water out. Then my clothes dry in a couple of hours on hangers hanging on the shower rod. As the weather cools, drying time increases.4. I have found that in the evening after changing out of my work clothes, I agitate the clothes for 15 min and then soak them overnight. Then I drain, rinse, and agitate again in the morning. Then I spin and hang. Then I agitate and soak my night clothes in the morning so they are ready to rinse spin and hang when I get home from work. Sheets and towels get washed weekly. This way I pretty much never have dirty laundry.5. The agitator is loud, but not so loud it bothers me with the door shut.4. When not in use, I hang the agitator from S hooks on a wall mounted TP holder which I mounted in the shower with the motor above shower head level do it does not get wet. The cord hangs down, but does not touch the shower floor.5. The only thing I don't like about it is the bright color. If it was white, it would blend in with the shower better.6. I wish the manufacturer would make the perfect 20 qt. bucket with a basket insert and a spigot. My beverage container is almost perfect, but the clamp that holds the agitator securely lifts off with the agitator unless I hold it in place because there is no lip on the edge of the beverage container. The perfect bucket would have a strategically placed ridge to hold th clamp in place and a basket insert that would lift the clothes out to quickly drain the water.7. No laundromat for me anymore! This system saves me time and money and the aggravation of the laundromat. Don't even get me started on how unpleasant it is to spend even 5 minutes in a laundromat!8. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but at this point I am satisfied well enough to write a positive review.

Happy with my purchase
We have been using this in a regular old home depot bucket, and so maybe that's why we can't wash a lot of clothes at one time with it. But the clothes we are able to wash come out crazy clean! The motor on this will run hot, it comes with a timer and as the manual says you can only use it for 15 minutes at a time. We use it for 5 minutes at a time because we do worry about the longevity of the motor. But for the cost and purpose, this exceeded my expectations. It can clean better than a regular washing machine, easily, in just 5 minutes (I do presoak the clothes). However you are limited to size/amount of clothes (You won't be able to do bed sheets or winter jackets, things like that.) Overall I am happy with it

It's OK, First Attempt Is...Just OK
Using this device reminded me of using a mixer. You, know, the appliance for mixing dough, beating eggs etc. Because the device moves around a bit, I did not feel comfortable leaving it alone. The thing "walks" on the bucket rim, and will sometimes end up positioned in a way that would cause a little tsunami of laundry water. When this happens you must adjust it to make sure the agitator disk is immersed properly. This should be used inside the shower stall or bathtub to avoid a mess. It's pretty much like running a washing machine without a lid--and there's a reason why washing machines come with lids. I am pretty sure that the agitator disk must be fully immersed in water-when I used a lower water level with the disk only half immersed, I smelled a burning smell. I used a bucket with a 14 inch depth as suggested. My routine is to agitate the clothes for 5 minutes, soak for ten, then squeeze out the water with my Laundry Alternative spinner. I use very little laundry soap (if like me, you work indoors and drive to work, then your clothes are probably not very dirty) so I don't bother will a full rinse. The Laundry Alternative spinner will really cut down drying time. This is key for any apartment dweller.Of course the big plus is really the small size of this thing versus a mini washer. After use I store it on a shelf. As an apartment dweller, space is a major consideration. I'll try again. It was not love at first use. Maybe it will grow on me. Maybe not. But one thing is sure--it beats going to the laundromat. I also have a hand cranked wonder washer. It beats that too. Costwise, as long as I use this ten times, I know it's paid for itself, since I used to spend about $10/week in the laundromat.

Works well for me
This works well with hand towels and small articles of clothing with pants and full size towels needing more room. I use a large plastic tub with a rubber bungee around the top of the tub to hold the washer in place. If doing large towels or pants, I only do one or two items at time. With smaller items, I can wash around 10 or items since they agitate easier. Good product and I have used this for a month with no issues.
