Stunningly beautiful butterfly book which will delight you! The boards are blue silk.Also wonderful is Hokusai's Landscapes, the complete series, written by Sarah E. Thompson and published by the Museum of Fine Arts at Boston. All 46 views of Mt Fuji are included.

I've enjoyed comics, graphic novels, and Japanese manga for most of my life. These traditions have been with us for centuries, as Hokusai's work makes clear. This book is fantastic and a wonderful addition to my collection. I will peruse it often.

Smaller less expensive Version of a bigger book. Perfect to use to study and also teach my grandson about late 1800 Japanese woodblock prints

I really enjoyed these woodblock prints of views of Mt. Fuji. You can imagine yourself back in time on the Tokaido Road holding your hat in the wind.

I bought this as a gift for my son who is studying art. The book was high-quality and uniquely bound. Very good price.

This is a well produced and generally excellent book depicting the 36 views of fuji. Why then only 4 stars? Simply because of what I consider to be a bizarre decision. Why the publisher has used portrait format for landscape prints is completely beyond me. Nevertheless buy and enjoy.

This book presents Hokusai’s Mount Fuji collection of ‘paintings’ in a unique and clever format. Each picture is beautifully reproduced with a brief description of each. The sort of book to pick up and ‘digest’ on a wet winter’s day and marvel at the artist’s ability.

If you like pull-out style books then you'll love this. Most unusual and helps view the pictures more realistically.
