I was a bit worried our cat would not like this as it wasn’t cushioned, but he uses it all the time to watch birds and try to attack them. We didn’t use suction but anchored it into wall. Our cat is pretty big and heavy, but not fat, and the shelf does not budge when he jumps up on it.

Purchased the 2 small shelves. I'm glad I chose these with the stainless steel supports. My cat weighs 12.6 lbs and takes running leaps to land on theses shelves. Seems like quite a force for a cat. I was concerned that he would do exactly this and a suction cup model would fail causing injury and traumatizing my kitty. Not happening with this model. He has been hitting these stainless steel supported shelves hard and they are holding up well. I am certain these will last way beyond when they are no longer needed. My cat likes lounging and napping on the shelf surfaces too. These were a great buy and I am very satisfied with this purchase. Installation was easy. I highly recommend.

Mounted one under a high window. Both cats are hot/cold about it, but they do use it. The other was mounted as a shelf. The included screws SUCK, and stripped immediately, especially when trying to screw in the bottom ones. The amount of space inside the frame at the bottom barely allows for the screw, and I had to put the screw all the way through with the frame pulled away from the wall to get a screwdriver into it. Even with pre-drilled holes, I only got the bottom screws in 1/8" before they stripped. That being said, neither shelf feels unsteady or in danger of falling at all, and the two cats are not small and have sat on it together.

Baby, our big black cat, sleeps most of his day away on his "shelf". This is the best window bed we have ever tried. Just make sure you get the adhesive hangers in the right place the first time or you will have a hard time moving them. That's what makes this cat window bed so great, unlike the suction cup variety. Also, the customer service is great!Update year later... Needed to move cat shelf. Sticky pads that come with it are not reusable. Purife found some on Amazon for me! They work! Thanks Purife!

What can I say, the cat didn't like it so I'm actually using them for book storage over my bed. So, I would recommend it because if your cat doesn't like it you can definitely find something else to do with it

We created a headboard for our adjustable bed by using these. I can hang the bed controller from them, and we keep spare bed pads up there to give our cats a cushion as well as letting them think we don't want them up there. We sometimes get two or even three cats up there watching us humans sleep. I'm going to get two more to use as window perches since the suction cup one does not let us open our window.

Ok my kitten LOVED these. But within 3 days the anchors that came with the shelfs failed miserably. The cat shelfs are pretty heavy duty, very sturdy. You should just not use the hardware included to hang them. I would purchase these again.

This is a very sturdy shelf. My 12lb cat thinks it could be bigger so he could comfortably sleep on it. The screws strip very easily so be careful!
