It leaks
I bought these for my 16 yo dog with demential. She has taken to urinating every night on my oriental. rug. These are a good size, but the liquid just comes right out the bottom. Fortunately, I now have a tarp on the rug so the wetness can't get through. But it still makes a mess. Hard to understand why they chose a "waterproof" lining that isn't at all waterproof

DISGUSTING DISCOVERY!!
I've been using these pads for about a year, and although they are not as absorbent as I would like (leakage from the small urine spot of a 7-pound dog), they are the only pads of this size I could find. Today when I was placing some pads on the sofa, I took a fresh one out of the box and noticed some yellow stains showing through on the blue side. I opened the pad fully, and there were several obvious dry YELLOW STAINS on the white side, along with what looked like dry brown POO SPOTS!! I've never seen anything like that in a box of pads! How did that get in there, all folded up like it was brand new but obviously stained with waste??!! In the photo attached, the pad is crumpled only because my immediate reaction was to ball it up and throw it in the garbage. Then I took it out to take the picture. This is totally disgusting and unacceptable! On Monday I am going to be making some phone calls to the company. I still feel nauseous from discovering this in the box. DO NOT BUY THESE PADS!!!

PUPPY PADS GONE BAD!!!
QUALITY HAS CHANGED SIGNIFICANTLY IN PAST COUPLE MONTHS. Have used these at an automatic box a month for probably (10) years. The white layers are now MUCH thinner and top layer starts peeling back as soon as gets wet. If dog scratches or paws at it even a bit the whole top sheet comes off as a VERY THIN layer (thinner than decent tissue paper) that I had NEVER SEEN until very recently. Urine often seeping through to blue cover and floor. Am looking for a replacement after all these years. They have always come in a very sturdy box with pads perfectly folded throughout the box. NO LONGER!! Boxes are bulging on top and inside stacks are uneven and folding is irregular. Looking desperately for replacement.

Works great as long as your dog wee-wees towards the middle of the pad
OK so I’ve tried so many of these pads and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s my dog. The thing that sold me on this one is it said it was scented in the middle to draw the dog to the center of the pad. That does not happen with my dog. That is the only reason I give this a four-star instead of five, it does not attract her to the center of the pad. She sits on the pad just enough so that her “potty-part” is hanging just off onto my floors! So I think the pad would work great as long as I could get her to go to the middle of the pad. I’ll give her two points for trying! I will say that on the occasion that she makes it on to the entire pad it does hold everything and the floor is completely dry. She’s a 15 pound dog just for reference on output quantity. I could upload photos but who really wants to see that?

Cutting Corners Equals Leaks
I have used these wee pads for many many years for my yorkshire terrier. I wouldn't even consider any substitues up until now. If a store didn't carry the brand I would leave until I found it. Using Amazon I inadvertantly purchased the X-Large instead of the large. I immediately noticed that the pads are incredibly thin which in itself wouldn't be an issue if it didn't allow leakage on to the surface it sits on. They no longer wik away the moisture as the product once did. My 15 year old yorkie is 3lbs so her urnine output is minimal at best. I am 100% disappointed to see the manufacturer has clearly chosen to cut corner to produce a now inferior product. Today I have decided to double up the layers which isn't cost effective but I cannot have urine leaks sitting on my floor. My prayer is my dog lives long enough so I can go through these and purchase a better more efficient brand.

If I could give it more stars I would.
So let me first say it pains me to spend money on something like this. I have two rescues who were in a pen with brothers, sisters, moma-sister, daddy- brother environments they ate, slept, pooped, and peed in a confine area. They have no concept of don't pee where you sleep. Crate training is a fail. I take them out but they have no concept of potty out side. I swear They hold it then per when they come in. Between some very bad habits and my migraines potty training has been a challenge. I still have faith but call them going on these pads a win when they use these instead of the carpet. Now that you understand the hooligans I will tell you guys these are awesome. As a nurse fore 25 years I've seen a lot of pads to collect waste. Doggie pads are not different. I bought the largest size because the boys like to go under the kitchen table. We never use it. In fact it is the exhusbands (long story why it's still here). Anyway, it fits perfectly where I need it to be. The pad is much denser with the absorbent material and the leak proof backing is thicker than other brands I've tried as well. I probably will not buy another product unless these folks go on the cheap and the quality changes. If I must buy pads these are worth the cost.

No Longer the best! **Beware**
BEWARE! These have changed recently! These pads soak up MUCH less than the old ones.I've been a long time buyer of these pads, and they *have been* the best, but sadly I cannot continue to recommend them. In the past there was a top layer which kept dry, and allowed the pad to soak beneath. I just received my newest order, and this has been removed, and now the pads have just an absorbent core, exposed. Now even the core is different, taking on a texture of a thick paper towel, instead of the cotton-y soft core in the past. Before messes would stay small, and not spread out, now messes spread out to become **very** large. This makes them no better than any number of other imitators. Sad to say, those imitators are cheaper. We always use Four Paws brand because they lasted twice as long as others, and so the premium in price was worth it to us. Now I'm sure we'll finish this box and be back on the hunt for a better pad.To be clear: the pads no longer stand out among all the other options out there. So no need to pay the premium. One or two messes from a small shih tzu and they're full!

Best we've found
Discovered these while living in Canada after much trial and error with other brands. These were by far the best which is why we were prepared to pay extra to get them from the USA. They are large, tough and the most reliable in protecting the floor from leaking through.

Worked well!
I used these in my crate when we were travelling across country on Via Rail. It fit my create perfectly (It's a fairly large create, big enough for my husky). It helped control any spillage of water, though she held all her pee and what nots in until we made scheduled stops. If I had a dog that needed them for bladder mishaps, I would recommend or even for long trips in a kennel!
