I love the little illustrations and the hand lettering. And I love that it’s for a fountain pen...I wouldn’t have thought to use my fountain pen like this. So happy to have found this little gem!

I recently decided to get a few fountain pens and try a new hobby by learning calligraphy. Unfortunately, this is not the book to do so. It has some helpful tips in the very beginning for pen care, but that's about all the use it offers. The entire rest of the book just teaches you how to doodle, and there are a few alphabet fonts with little to no actual instruction. I had such high hopes for this book based on the title, since it seems like every single other calligraphy book on Amazon just teaches you how to use a brush pen for faux-calligraphy, not a fountain pen for the real deal. My advice is to keep searching if you want to do anything more useful than doodle some cartoons with an expensive pen.

I've enjoyed this book. It starts out with basic instructions for fountain pens, ink, and upkeep, It quickly follows up with cute learning methods and ideas. There is also a section for creating stylish letters and calligraphy. I found the border suggestions rather fun, fanciful and doable. This book ends with advanced projects and techniques and challenges.

I loved that it has the pen maintenance section as well as different letter styles and even how to draw common objects.The blank paper is at the end of the book the pocket is empty at the back. The front has a very thin mini book in the front pocket feels like nothing is in it. I started to complain items were missing and then discovered they were not.

This a poor excuse for an art/lettering book, with lessons on how to draw a line and make a circle. Really?

I suppose some might like this book, but I was kind of disappointed in it. It didn’t seem to be very helpful to me.

Great book for fountain pen geeks like myself. Has everything from how to hold the pen, doodling, calligraphy, and more. It's also made with high quality paper and typesetting. I'm very happy I found this book!

Cute drawings and design. I found it inspiring and also made me choose the right fountain pen and nib size as per her explanations and advise. Drawings and lettering in this book are simple but absolutely lovely and adorable. I love them. Happy with my purchase!
