Tooltron Scallop Fabric Shears

I ordered these shears to cut a decorative edge on felt. I use the felt to make holiday ornaments. I had been using a rotary cutter, but found it difficult to make nice looking, matching corners. And sometimes the rotary cutter does not cut all the way through the felt if you do not press down hard enough when using it. These shears are great. They are an excellent alternative to using a rotary cutter. They cut through the felt with no problem. And it is much easier to match up the corners. I wish there were other shears with assorted decorative edges to choose from because the scissors on the market made for papercrafting do not work on fabric.

Almost sent them back immediately. They definitely Do Not work at all on fine fabric, at least not on anything thin. They will only chew it up. However, they did work well on my oilcloth and on heavy broadcloth fabric. Honestly though, not too much different than pinking sheers. Scallop is very small in size. I will keep them and would buy again, just not expect them to do everything they claim they willT

I wanted to find a pair of scissors that would give me a decorative edge on fabric and felt craft projects. Decorative paper scissors just won't work. These offer an adorable edge that is distinctly different from the traditional pinking shears. These cut easily through wool blend felt and made a perfect scallop edge; however, they snagged a bit on a very thin delicate cotton. The handles are also a little stiff to open, but since I intend to use these for small projects, I don't mind. Overall, these are a really great option for fabric crafts.

My husband got these for my birthday and they are amazing! If you're looking for scallop shears for historical trim these are the ones. Don't be lured into the cheaper options because you'll be wasting your money. Get it right the first time with these ones. I love mine and actually squeal when I use them because the cut is so clean.(I wasn't asked to write this. I've had a terrible time finding decent shears and I hope this'll help anyone who's in the same boat)

Lovely pattern of scallops, just what I wanted and hard to find. It's still a bit stiff, but I think it will loosen up with use.

I use the scalloped shears for cutting the decorative edges of embroidered Christmas ornaments.
