Very Rare
I've been designing and building home stereo loudspeakers for almost 40 years. I first got one of these years ago from Radio Shack under a Motorola branding. This is the original Motorola award winning design that made this type popular. I remember the sound it made when I had these as a teenager. When properly crossed over, they mimic the most expensive ribbon tweeters. Since I least know how to use these, I'll stock my bin soon. Just not today. Though they're probably made in China, I know they're made to the original Motorola specs. Best to cut them off at 5 or 6 Khz @ 6db and they shine. Parallel them with a good dome or ribbon and you cannot be matched. These are not the same as the ones used for pest repellents.

Great with home sound systems for ultra-high frequency sound reproduction
I have used piezoelectric speakers in home sound systems for years and they are great for ultra-high frequency sound reproduction. Another reviewer gave it one star because it is not suitable for his bass guitar amplifier, clearly NOT the right application for this transducer. It is unfair for this product to stand with just one star because of the improper application of this speaker. This model has an average harmonic distortion of less than 1%, has a frequency range from 4K HZ to 40K HZ and a sound pressure level of 95 to 105 dB at 1 meter, 1 watt, 8 ohm load. No crossover is needed. Horn-loaded piezoelectric speakers have higher output, but this design provides smoother response.
