Subaru Intake Shield - SOA8431030

I was worried at first because what I got did not look like the picture however it did fit my 2007 WRX and I'm using DC Sports intake which was tricky but everything went together if you do it in the right order. One thing I would like to point out is that the black trim comes detached and as one piece you have to cut and install it or as I did install starting at one end and when you reach the other you cut it which leave you a little more then you need for the second trimmed area. BTW it is difficult to push on and use wire cutters to cut it.

Fit was pretty good, went on a 2006 baja turbo. No problems but not as sealed as I would like.

I bought this, together with the Subaru SPT High Flow Air Intake, for my '06 WRX. I had them both professionally installed. I have not independently verified, but numerous sites suggest this greatly reduces heat soak, leading to better Intake performance.

this combined with the SOA8431000 gave me a lot of low end power, you can feel the power on every shift.

Does exactly what it is intended to do and being a Subaru part, fit and finish are top notch.

Helps drop intake temps quite a bit. I wrapped the outside in cold gold as well.
