As my boyfriend was hanging these shelves he goes "You need to give a 5-star review." Before he even said that, I planned on it! I was honestly blown away by the quality and time put into the shelves. I have been looking for about 2 months for just the right type, size and color wooden shelves for my laundry room. I had ordered some on Wayfair and quickly returned them. Wayfair had sent me shelves that weren't even close to the picture. They also had no way of hanging them besides using ugly brackets underneath. Well... these shelves from DAKODA LOVE were vastly different! The shelves were exactly as pictured. They provided the absolute BEST mounting system! Made it so easy (I probably didn't even have to ask my boyfriend to hang them). The wall anchors provided are actually made to be able to use with a drill or screwdriver. That made the process of hanging the shelves much easier and little details like that to add to the kit paid off huge. Along with the metal bracket that pulls out of the shelf. It was super easy to secure to the wall and place the metal rods through the shelf. I definitely paid more than I thought I was going to for my laundry room shelves but zero regrets. I had looked at 10 different stores and online. Nothing out there quite like this. Well worth the money!

I buy over $10,000 worth of stuff on Amazon every year - and I have never written a review before. But the customer service I received from Dakoda Love demanded I write my first one. As far as the product, I really liked the shelves. I'm an engineer and so I appreciate the creative solution they came up with so that you can have a floating shelf actually be able to hold weight and not deflect away from the wall. It was a piece of cake to install (it took me 10 minutes) and it is sturdy as a rock. I currently have about 20lbs on it, and it might as well be holding a feather for the deflection I'm getting (which is zero). Can't think of anything I'd change other than having more options on the shelf look itself. A couple of days after I received it, I received an email from the company asking if everything was ok and if I had any questions on the installation. I have NEVER had a company I have purchased from on Amazon do that. Very impressed.

9-12-19 UPDATE - Went from bad to worse. I do not want a new set of shelves but still waiting on that refund you promised below. Sent the original review below back in April 2019. I was contacted by Kyle Nicely of Dakoda Love who said "Customer satisfaction is #1 for us and I'm eager to do whatever we can to fix this for you. I would like to apply a full refund to your purchase and also send you a new set of shelves on us if that is okay with you? One of our goals is to be a 5 star company. We dedicate our lives to this company, our products, and most importantly, our customers, to try and achieve this goal. With that said, we understand mistakes can happen with orders, or a shelf can go up wrong, and if for some reason this happens, we are eager to do whatever it takes to make it better! We would jump at the opportunity to improve your impression of us."So bummed as I had such high hopes for these shelves given the good reviews. Unfortunately they were definitely not worth the money nor did they look as the description stated. These were definitely NOT handmade and certainly did NOT have a beautiful grain. They were just 2 identical dark stain pieces of wood that were heavy and smelled horrible.Against my better judgement and since I spent so much oney on them, I decided to hang them anyway hoping they might somehow look better up on the wall but my handyman couldn't get them to do anything but tilt downward. I ended having to take them down and now have to deal with fixing all the holes in my walls :(

I splurged on these after much research... and then a month or so into having them the top shelf that WAS flush gives out and now slopes down and just wiggles when I try to put it back to flush. Normal amount of books on them and enough room for a picture frame. So I just pulled off the wood from the steel and it looks like to steel up-sloped pegs have sunk straight. Unsure what to think about these since I love the way they look and the other one is ok with no issues but a little disappointed after paying for quality.See pics and video for visuals.

I've purchased these shelves twice, and I've been extremely impressed each time. The shelves look great, they are really sturdy, and the mounting system that is included makes the actual mounting surprisingly quick, easy, and error-free. The mounting itself is the most sturdy mounting I've ever had with a floating shelf. I can't say if it will hold a huge amount of weight - that really depends upon what you're mounting it into, but it has two long iron bars extending maybe 4-5 inches into the shelf off of a mounting panel with slots for maybe 8 screws (can't remember exactly off the top of my head), so any issues with weight bearing or support would be from the wall. Highly recommended.

Very well made shelves. We purchased these as they had a nice look and were still affordable. They are very sturdy and can support quite a bit of weight. The only negative I would say is don't directly apply the sticky tape to your walls! We put blue painters tape so we would not take the paint off the walls. It worked nicely for install! Thank you!
