Absolutely perfect screws for PVC projects
The Cortex screws are my “go to” choice when building projects out our PVC. My current project is a set of large planter boxes to sit outside with lots of year-round sun exposure. PVC is the perfect material because it takes paint well and will never rot. And, while the PVC glues are strong these screws are a measure of safety for me that assured me I will never have boxes that slips due to the freeze/thaw cycle.The screws never show after installation because of the deep set of the screws and the white PVC plugs that are included in the box.I have done many flower boxes over the years and have always used these Cortex screws with great success. They are an amazing system for PVC when screw heads will detract from your esthetics.

Well-Designed System
The bit inserts the screw the perfect distance into the PVC board. The foam on the screw bit compresses until the bit disengages from the screw. The plug fits in the hole perfectly.

These are a must have to work with PVC. It comes with the tool drive these screws in. Then a cap to plug and hide the screw hole.

We used it to put shutters up and wanted hidden screw heads. Worked well for our need.

Okay......
The driver bit isn't tremendously easy to use. Competitors have a bit that countersinks to the exact level and then stops so that the plugs fits perfectly every time. Didn't find this product to be as good.To make matters worse, the plugs are NOT EASY to install and do not seat neatly so they appear to be sticking up above the PVC. After struggling with a number of them, I pulled them and plugged the holes with plain white caulk. Looks better and was much easier. WOULD NOT buy this product again.Fast shipping and delivered as promised so no issues with the seller.

Prepare for project by estimating quantity need, then order another additional 25% over.
Great product for 3/4” poly wood application. Plugs were perfectly fitted for screw head concealment. Will purchase again.
