Works
This has worked really well for my dog. She was having all the signs of cushings. Her skin was turning black on her belly and and losing hair. After a month of using this, her skin is almost back to normal and hair is filling in.

Addisons Disease - Alternative for Prednisone
Our dog was diagnosed with Addisons many years ago. Since then he has been on prednisone which was neccessary b/c w/o it he started to get sick. However, it's a steroid and would make his behavior somewhat erratic. He would get restless at times, nervous, very hungry and typically was VERY thirsty (dry mouth). Consequently, he would drink an enormous amount of water which led to lots of walks and going out. Often in the middle of the night. The dry mouth was uncomfortable for him and kept us awake at night. Doing my own research I came across this product and ran it by our Vet. This is most likely what Vets prescribed before prednisone was available. Our Vet was not familiar with it but said to give it a shot. We were really desperate to get our little fella off prednisone if possible. It's only been about 3-4 weeks but so far so good. He is about 35 lbs and gets a scoop of this in his food 1x/day (we mix it with a little NuPro powder which is another great dog product!). You have to play with the dosage a bit but if your dog has addisons you're already used to that game. All the unpleasant side effects of the prednisone have gone away! The dog seems to sleep more but that may be his natural state... we don't know b/c he was on steroids for so long. I am posting this review in case there's anyone else in a similar situation with their dog. This stuff is expensive but it lasts a long time and if you can get your dog off steroids, it's worth it! Good luck! I'll post updates if anything changes in the next few months.*UPDATE - March 26, 2013. We found that the recommended serving of this powder wasn't enough. We now give our 35 lb dog a full scoop in the AM and a 1/2 scoop in the PM. Sometimes he may not get it all since it's a powder in his food (and he's not really fond of the taste). After a couple weeks he starts to slip again so he we have been giving him a prednisone 1x every 2 weeks. This is not ideal but in my opinion, still really beats 2x's/week. Overall, I'm still pleased that we found this product and our dog takes much less prednisone. It's not perfect but it's still a worth product for our family dog.

Canine Adrenal Support
I have been using Standard Process products for many years, for myself and for my pets. I know I can trust their quality and purity. I have been giving this to my 14 year old female dog for hormone related urinary incontinence. It is becoming well known that spaying and neutering too early as well as removing their hormone producing glands causes them all sorts of health problems throughout their life. All they have left to produce any hormones is adrenal glands and these glands soon become exhausted. This adrenal support does seem to be helping her with the incontinence. It does take time and patience but it does help a lot.

Fast Delivery! Great Product!
I realized our vet is closed for Spring Break and am glad we could find this product online. I paid the extra fee for overnight delivery and literally received the box on my doorstep in less than 12 hours! My dog is taking adrenal support as part of his brain cancer treatment. I believe it is helping as a great support tool to aid the breakdown his body is experiencing from long term steroid use. It appears that the product is exactly as expected. I'm very happy with my purchase and the fast reaction time!

Whole Body Support.
I believe that the Whole Body Support saved my dogs life. He was declining monthly. He has now returned to his previous weight, and his energy has returned. I also give him Standard Process Adrenal Support and Probiotics.

Worst instructions ever--main ingredient is liver
Like many self-righteous merchants these days, they print in BIG letters that 'minimizing impact the planet...is a core value' but then print the directions and ingredients in what looks like tiny, tiny 4 point type on a box big enough for 12 or 14 point type. The also do not tell you the size of the scoop that comes with it. Instead they say serving size 1/2 tsp., when the rest of the label describes 6 serving sizes, all in tiny 4 point type.Thinking that the tiny 4 point type was designed for dogs with really good eyesight, I asked my dog to read the instructions, but she was not able to make them out any better that I was. When I finally took out a powerful magnifying glass to read the directions and ingredients, I saw to my surprise that the first one listed is bovine liver, which means there is more liver than anything else. Now I am not a doctor, but I do know that the adrenal glands are not on or in the liver. AFAIK dogs do not suffer from a shrunken liver and need supplemental liver, nor does the liver affect the adrenal glands, which are on top of the kidneys. But I may be wrong--who knows?

Prescribed by my vet
Although this is a very expensive supplement, I do believe that it works. About two weeks. After giving this supplement, that was prescribed by my vet, my dog really perked up. I assume that her issues were being addressed by the supplement. It is easy to use my dog loves the flavor..

This stuff works!
I have a 5 year old weimeraner that has Addison's disease & allergies. My vet had my dog on steroids. He never got better and gained 30 pounds. I found a holistic vet that put him on Adrenal Support and this other Chinese herb. He's been on this supplement for 6 months. He's lost all the weight he gained and is doing soooo much better. I am so glad to have him off the steroids...they are bad news. I encourage anyone who is having these issues with their animal to find a holistic vet. Also, before getting your pet their yearly shots, have your vet do a blood test to see if they even need them. Most of the time they don't need them every year and it's not good for them expecially if they have a medical condition. I noticed a pattern every year about 4 weeks after my dog got his shot he would come down with a bladder infection or something. Last year I had the vet do a blood test and all his levels were fine so he didn't get any shots except for rabies.
