8th Grade Homeschool Review: As a parent and homeschool educator, I've been using a set of books for 8th-grade homeschooling, and I'd like to share my thoughts. These books have proven to be a valuable resource in our homeschool journey. They provide a solid foundation for various subjects, covering a wide range of topics essential for 8th-grade students. What I appreciate most about these books is their comprehensive approach. They offer a well-structured curriculum that allows students to delve into subjects such as mathematics, science, literature, and history. The content is clear, and the exercises and activities help reinforce the learning process. However, it's worth noting that while these books are fantastic as guides, they might not provide all the answers. As with any educational materials, there may be moments when students need additional support or clarification. In such cases, we've found supplemental videos and other educational resources to be incredibly helpful. The combination of these books and supplementary materials has been the key to a well-rounded education. Subnote: This review is intended to serve as a general overview for all the books I'm currently using for 8th-grade homeschooling. If any of the books stand out, either for their exceptional quality or shortcomings, I will provide a more detailed review for that specific book. It's all about ensuring that our homeschooling experience is as enriching as possible.

Perfect book for learning math.
I got this book for my kid as a summer activity. She loved this book and it covered pretty good topics. Easy to understand and great to learn.

Good practice, parent/teacher needed to further explain topics...
Textbook this is not! Simple introductions to the various algebra topics covered; usually needs further explanation. Should be used w/a textbook to 'flesh-out' the subject matter but definitely helped with work to practice a concept! Not bad as a way to reinforce/practice new algebra concepts...

annoy, or get in the way of learning and ...
These books have been very helpful for my self-directed learning near obsession habit. I have missed a lot of educational opportunities due to physical health. So I made up for it by self-directed learning at home for the past few years. I wish I had realized the usefulness much earlier! While they are Common Core(meh) they don't shove it down your throat! Which is very important. As a self-directed learner I don't need to care about such standards also as relax home school fan the standard will not impede, annoy, or get in the way of learning and adopting new skills. Definitely recommend if your a relaxed homeschooler (un too) that does not want a full curriculum just a simple instruction. There is a LOT of math, new math, and new methods to doing a problem now (not a bad thing entirely) that's math learning the different ways to think! This is a good way to reinforce a conversation in math so that the written portion does not go unnoticed my biggest regret in self-directed was not to use these books for quick reviews for myself. Regardless of your age, the age of the books, you'll be able to do the work after, or should. I have learned money (which I've always had a fun time with), and saw how unready I was for A2. (Academically I am Sophomore in college except in Math! At least the way math is presented now). So this comes from someone with college experience. Not sure if that's helpful, or not, but anything to help people by these books and use them in their self-directed learning regardless of age. They're good books.
