This is my first robot vacuum and so far I’m thoroughly pleased. Easy setup - started running right away. I ended up getting this for a good deal on prime day but I specifically looked for one that had overall great reviews (better than roomba), and I think this one is great so far! Of course, I will edit later if we run into issues. I have a long haired dog, I myself have long hair, so I need something that can help keep my floors a little more clean! I also have a 2 year old 😅 so we tend to get crumbs and all kind of stuff on the floor frequently!! The picture is after running the unit only about an hour. It’s awesome! With long hair, we will probably have to keep an eye on the brush roll to make sure it’s not too tangled but overall it’s getting the job done!!I did read other reviews first and noted that you do have to have a fairly wide/ long area for the unit to self dock. I would say the area in front of the dock is more important that right next to it? But as far as size of house... it’s been in several of our bedrooms, kitchen, living, etc (2,000+ sq feet in our home) and transitions from carpet to floor or tile to hardwood (over the hump things) very well. I actually couldn’t find it one time and it came rolling out from under our bed lol. Do not expect this unit to be whisper quiet ... it does have a kind of running noise but it’s not annoying or overly loud unless your the kind of person to be annoyed by that kind of stuff?Overall great first impression and I’m looking forward to having a little vacuum help in the house :)

I bought this to replace an iRobot Roomba 870 that is 4 years old (cost about $600) but is still working well. This Goovi vacuum cleaner is an improvement and almost a perfect replacement. Pro's: great price, much quieter, slightly shorter (doesn't get stuck anywhere, so far), remote control and has stronger suction. I have dogs and cats with long hair and it picks up the hair much better from carpet and floor than the iRobot. Similar features are a large collection bin, long battery life and navigates to all rooms well (I have a 1500 sq ft home). Cons: No indicator light showing when bin is full (this is not a big deal because I clean it daily anyway), the auto scheduling function does not work for some reason (this is not a big deal, either - easy to turn on everyday, especially with the remote control).

After reading tons and tons of review I finally purchased the Goovi. We live on a farm, have two inside dogs, two small children and all hard wood floors. Keeping all of our floors swept on a daily basis just did not happen. I immediately put the vacuum to use once we received it. Putting it together was a breeze, all I really had to do was connect the brushes and off it went. Two extra brushes were included as well. The instruction manuel was easy to read and setting the timer was simple. The goovi has no problems going over my rugs or switching from hardwood to laminate. The timer on my vacuum is set to run daily. It will occasionally get "confused" under our kitchen table when we have all of the chairs pushed in tight. I have noticed that if it picks up big objects such as dog food or a small toy it will rattle or make a funny sound. Once the object is removed it goes back to running smoothly again. It also does not like bobby pins! I have a larger house so the battery does get low before it finishes the whole house but it does get the living room/kitchen daily which is what I purchased it for in the first place. Once the battery is low the vacuum takes its self to the base and charges for the next day. I think my only complaint is that any small bump to the vacuum while it's on the base and the vacuum takes off. As I mentioned, I have two small kids, one of which loves to chase this vacuum through the house so she is constantly touching it to make it go. My vacuum does pick up tons of dog hair so about every other day I have to clean out the brush part so that it doesn't get stopped up. Overall, I love this vacuum. It does exactly what it was purchased for and I would purchase again.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We love our new robot vacuum! I’ve always wanted one and decided to buy one on Amazon prime day. I have all hardwood floors on my main floor which includes a large kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom with tile. It’s all open floor plan except the bathroom which is in a separate room and he does that as well. There is a large area rug in the living room, and stairs leading down to the garage. I was able to place this robot under a dining room sideboard so it is not even noticeable when not in use (see pic). He twists and turns around furniture with ease and fits under our couch and tables easily. The stair sensors work well –- no problem so far (see video), and easily transitions from hardwood to area and throw rugs and back again. He works hard taking about 2.5 hours to vacuum the entire downstairs (about 1000 ft.²). He seems to find his docking station at the end of his job even though it’s tucked in an area with lots of obstacles (see pic). We usually turn him on when we head up to my cabin, but I could run it at night as well –– can’t hear him upstairs. Somehow we come home and our floors are perfect. He, Dusty, is part of the family now. I'd love to have another for upstairs which is all carpet. Highly recommend and very satisfied.
