Have these been tested to current toy safety standards? What material are they made of?

They are a rubbery (bendy) material. I wouldn't give them to any child that could put them in their mouth due to size and the possibility that it could be bitten into by determined little teeth

What are they made of?

Not absolutely sure, I bought them for my granddaughter, but they have a rubbery feel.

How big are the animals please?

I can't really remember how big they were as I bought them for my grandchildren, but my guess would be 3cm. They were quite small but great for little hands.
