We just got back from a short trip out of country and I'm very pleased with how this cam performed. While we were away I received motion alerts and was able to log into the app and playback video of the event and access image snaps of the events too. I'm also extremely happy that there is an MacOS app available and works.The smart lighting is a nifty feature that switches the camera between IR, white flood lighting, and daylight. I've watched clips where I can tell when it switches between IR and flood and it makes a difference in clarity when the subject is in the flood light field of view. Instead of getting a black and white night time image (IR), I get a color image. Also good at letting a trespasser know they have been caught.Setup was easy, just connected it by cable to my network switch, opened the app and added the device. After that I was able to use the app to add the wireless network as an option but I kept mine hardwired. Issues with 5ghz networks and wireless can be resolved by changing settings in your router so that the 5ghz network is off during setup or renamed so that you are for sure connecting to the 2.4ghz. Search the web for your router name and 5ghz to find how to's. Some routers let you turn the 5ghz off in the router control app. I do that with mine, then switch it back on after setup. This has been a needed step for many new inexpensive IOT devices.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I've been looking for a good camera that is compatible with the MIPC app. All my previous 3 cameras use this app so I kind of have to stick with the eco system, which is actually not bad since I find the MIPC app the better of all the generic camera apps - as far as generic camera brands go. Setting up the camera was super easy, you download the app, plug the camera power and the Ethernet cable into the camera and you're all set, make sure it's 2.4ghz wifi network only.The camera comes with the mounting hardware so you just need a power tool and a drill. I enjoy the 1080p HD quality a lot so now I just need to get a decent SD card to record them.

This camera works even better than a expensive I got, image clear, night vision good will see if last.Update. Only lasted a month, its been offline for days, I checked all cables etc, everything seems to be right except that there is no image from this camera. All my other cameras different brand and oldest still working.

Camera is easy to install and instructions are easy to follow!

Disliked the night vision, wasn't able to get my whole driveway, great for close but not long range. The white light mode is cool it helps see the intruder more

Motion detection did not work. Returned camera.
