Why wouldn't this kit include the spring? Seems like an integral part of the kit, right? Guess not. Weird. I'd have paid more for the kit if it included this absolutely vital part which exists inside the housing.

This product is great it is essentially what was broken on my machine the spring came completely off and I wasn't willing to try and put it back together and I desperately need this tool pretty much on every job to repair and replace fences as I work in tree service and it's pretty consistent thing that I'm either removing a tree from a damaged fence or a limb has fallen in damaged one and so I make that a part of my service as well to repair the damages done and the auger isn't absolute necessity to have for post hole digging and just was shipped in a timely manner I received it within two days and it works just as advertised went right back on the unit I believe it even came with a new screws that fit perfectly but I could be wrong about that maybe I just utilize the ones that were off the old one.

Wasn't sure this was going to work, but just like a plug and play . This part bolted right up!worked great!

I needed a pull starter for a Buffalo Tools fence post driver , they are not available. This was a perfect fit !

Fit my Harbor Freight Predator 6" Auger perfectly. Easy install that took 5 minutes. Quality of components appeared 100% as good as the part I took off. I pulled the old one apart to see if I could repair it - and completely disassembled it. This one had very similar components of similar thicknesses and apparent quality. I put a lot of stress on it as I had a locked clutch that wouldn't freewheel so I was turning a lot of mass with the pull cord. Eventually I freed up the clutch - but this starter held up to the added strain with no issues. I was worried about the product but need not have been as it has been flawless.

Last one lasted 2 years.

This only last an hour. It broke again. I would not recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately there are many options!!
