JanSport Right Pack, Navy

This is a great and sturdy backpack. I love Jansport because their backpacks last a really long time. I haven't had this one for a long time yet but the leather reinforcement at the bottom makes it extra tough (my last Jansport didn't have that and it was getting small holes in the bottom). I love the laptop sleeve inside because I can put my laptop-and also other important things-in there. The sleeve itself does not have a lot of padding for the laptop like I've seen in other backpacks but it gets the job done. And there's padding on the back of the pack as opposed to a thin cloth layer so it's super comfortable. I got the navy and I love it even though everyone has the same one. However, my pack was missing one of the leather zipper things and one of the other ones is really frayed. However, I can't remember if it came out of the box like that or if my cat destroyed them. I was between this pack and the slacker backpack (also by Jansport) but ended up getting this one and I'm very happy. It's pretty big and definitely roomy enough for all my books, etc. Love the two pockets in the front, too. Also, it's a way lighter pack than some other ones of the same size. Just waiting now to wear it out so the cloth gets really soft because it's pretty stiff out of the box.

Great backpack! Very comfortable! I've been travelling around Europe with it during this winter and I love it! The backpack is spacious and elegeant at the same time, which makes it practical for everyday use. It's neither to big nor to small and it has the right amount of pockets (some backpacks are annoying becuse they have to many pockets) which makes it easy to handle. The sleeve inside fits my laptop (which has a pretty big screen) very well. The quality of the materials is good and the backpack comes with a lifetime warranty from JanSport. It's my first JanSport backpack and I will probably only use backpacks from JanSport from now on.

I just took this on vacation with me. (I purchased it just for that). We went from Seattle to Miami to Turks and Caicos (Providenciales). I put my electronics (15" lap top, tablet, Kindle) plus other things like snacks, sunglasses, small purse, my medication bag (which is much bigger than most as I am a heart transplant recipient...it's about the size of a man's toiletry bag). This bag is amazing and can take anything! We were gone for 10days and then did the planes in reverse and the backpack still looks completly new! I not only recommend JanSport, I personally feel this is the best brand out there! (And I come from the generation where the original design was the coolest...so I had to go with that design, ha!)

Great backpack. Love the color scheme and durability of these! My first one lasted me the abuse of my freshman year of college before getting that pesky tear at the bottom corner of the mahogany material at the bottom. I used the advice of a fellow amazon user review of using some of the box it was shipped in and cut it out and lined the bottom with it. Added a bit of structural strength to the backpack and hopefully will greatly increase the durability/life span. I wish JanSport would line the inside bottom with heavy duty, wear resistant material to solve this issue.

I got this backpack in Navy Blue and I love it, however there are two negative things I can say about it-- There are no side pockets for a water bottle or a travel mug which I find to be slightly irritating. Additionally, the leather zipper pull on the fron pocket has broken like 3 times. I keep re-tying it but eventually it's gonna break, oh well I suppose. Anyhow, it really is a great backpack especially for college students. The bottom is durable and the backpack holds all of my textbooks/laptop nicely :)

I bought this backpack hoping to get one that will last me throughout college. When I got it a was completely satisfied. The materials appear to be high quality, unlike cheaper versions you might see at a discount store. It is not bulky, but can store everything I need for a day of classes. The backpack did a good job of resisting water the first few times it was rained on, but has let water in a bit since. It is definitely a good looking backpack. I've seen multiple people around campus with the same one. I can definitely see it lasting me four years.

Looks just like the picture. Seems to have the quality you'd expect from JanSport. Laptop sleeve is very simple so you may want to get a padded laptop case because the backpack has no padding to protect it. That being said it works just as intended and fits my 15.5" Laptop perfectly, even with it being in a thick padded case. The zipper on the secondary storage compartment give me a little trouble when opening but I'm gonna assume that will lessen as I work the pack in. The suede leather bottom is a nice touch but seems a bit thin. I'm not too worried about it though with the lifetime guarantee that goes with the pack. Lots of room in the main compartment. I have two 1.5" binders and a 2" Chem book in it and I'm only utilizing about 1/2 of the space. The straps are what you expect from JanSports line of packs; narrow with about 3/8" padding. Plenty for the walk from the car to class but nothing I would want to have to carry for an extended period of time. Overall great pack and that I would recommend to anyone looking for a simple and durable backpack.

I last bought a JanSport around 1997, and after almost 20 years, it was time to replace it (and before that, I think I'd taken advantage of the lifetime warranty and traded my previous one in for free!). I like that the zippers on the main pouch don't zip all the way down to the bottom, so nothing falls out when you open it, which was an improvement on my old one. And, the quality seems just as good as it has always been. But, I wish there was a pocket for a phone or calculator in the middle pouch, which my old one had (which is strange, since no one even had cell phones back in 1997!) Still, small complaint (and it does have a laptop pocket in the main section).

Authentic product. This is my 2nd jansport. I picked up my first from the States and this is exactly like that. Wish the prices of lighter colors were reasonable.
