Dated 1981 it arrives sealed and just like new, as for the bad review you have to unscrew the cap to fit the filter and remove rubber cap otherside to breath ,also arrives in a box to protect item ,good value for money .Only thing I found was when you exhale the lens steam up but when you inhale in clears .

I’ve used mine for a giggle during lockdown. Had a few odd looks in the office. The gas mask is good quality and was just what I wanted. Been asked if the filter has asbestos in it? Honestly don’t know and how would you find out. It is Cold War surplus so it’s likely to have all sorts of strange bits ... any hoo still looks cool in this COVID world

Despite coming with a shattered lense and admittedly a rather shameful outburst to the company rather than the Royal Mail, after a discussion with the company they sent me a new mask which is greatly appreciated.Good service, worth the price, and despite not having the intact mask yet, i can confirm that the filter does fit the mask perfectly.

Although the filter was leaking activated charcoal (very dangerous) but the mask itself is well good for the price as long as you look after it right you should be good , very comfortable but the lenses can steam up a tiny bit , not enough to obstruct your vision but enough to notice , all in all quite good for price
