My dogs love this food & I love that I can add extra water to it to ensure that they stay hydrated.A tip to save myself time, instead of pulling out the recommended amount of nugget(s), example 1 nugget per feeding and crushing it down inside the bowl every time... which can be tedious...I measured the weight of the nugget which is 0.28oz, which is slightly less than 1/4 cup (crushed up), so now I can just use my scooper and scoop it like normal dog food and then add water.It took me time upfront but now saves me time per feeding :)

I am a convert! This food is amazing, my very picky dog loves it and now dances for his dinner! I have tried multiple flavors of primal, and as others have mentioned, the lamb nuggets and rabbit nuggets are much tougher to crush up to rehydrate- an easy solution to this problem is to place the dry nuggets in a plastic baggie and smush them with a can. A few whacks from the can edge to start breaking them up and then roll the can over the pieces to really crumble them- and it should be set to go! The crumbled bits rehydrate easily, and no more struggling to crush them by hand.I have bought the duck version and turkey sardine at a local store, and the rabbit and lamb versions online. No difference in quality was noted between the storebought and amazon versions.The food is "expensive" compared to the mystery kibble at the grocery store- but you are paying for quality food with this brand! Totally worth it! Especially if you have a small dog or a senior dog!

Have been using this brand for 4 years. Dog loves it and is very healthy. It's important to vary the flavors, though, as staying with one protein source for too long can bring on an allergy in some dogs. Also, we've found their quantity guidance to be off -- dog was putting on weight with their recs, cut them in half and the dog is fine. All in all, the best dog food we've ever found.

We’ve been feeding this to our dog exclusively for over two years since we found it. I’ve never seen a dog jump for joy all the way out the door every single time she’s fed this food. She never acted that way for traditional dry foods she had in the past. We ad broccoli and other greens as well and she loves that. She is 8 years old and still acts like a puppy. This food is great quality and pure ingredients and we won’t feed her anything else.

I discovered the freeze-dried variety before the frozen ones. This is one of the few dog foods my dog can eat without throwing it up. I originally bought my dog this food because he has no teeth and a sensitive stomach. His body does not tolerate poultry or beef so I purchased lamb. It is a pain to make because I have to use a food processor to grind it into a paste. My local pet food store recommended the same brand but frozen nuggets and I haven't looked back since (and it's $10 cheaper).

My old man loves this food and now dances to be given his meals. Not hard to measure out. I found the chicken easier to break up to smaller pieces so it would absorb water. The beef was much harder.It's a bit pricey for dog food, but I was committed to getting my dog in clean eating to help him with some health conditions I was treating with other means at the same time. It lasted 2 weeks, feeding 2 bricks, twice a day. Started looking for a more economical way of feeding once I'd gone through 3 or 4 bags of this.

I wouldn't feed anything else to my dog! I mix it with a little bit of high quality canned food! I believe if you're going to have a pet, they deserve the best food we can get. If I couldn't afford the best, then I shouldn't have a pet! Feeding dehydrated raw is the best type of food!

Some of the best food ever. I wish I could afford to feed my dog *just* this, but at least I know I'm helping him by supplementing with Primal and other freeze-dried raw foods. I tried feeding him an actualbraw diet (I have done so with other dogs) and he just never took to it, so this is the next best thing.
