Folkmanis Sitting Dog Hand Puppet, Brown

I was so excited to find this online! I had this as a kid, probably 30 years ago or more! I used it for a preschool story hour. It's very realistic-looking and easy to use. The way the pup's paws sit, it makes it easy for him to be perched as though he's looking over the top of something like a puppet stand or a table that you may be using to hide your hand. The students fell in love with this pup so much that one was in tears when I told her I wasn't sure where I got it at this point. I explained that my mommy bought it for me when I was a little girl and it was probably from a place called a toy store. She literally cried, so I had to reassure her we could still look for one. I was shocked when I found the exact dog. She will be thrilled when she opens it for her birthday next month. I think because it is realistic-looking and not cartoony, kids ranging from preschool all the way through upper elementary would still get a kick out of this puppet.

This guy is fantastic! Very soft and very life like. The hand opening is very comfortable. I wear a men’s Large/Xlarge glove and have no problem articulating his mouth. The lower jaw has a the flexibility for him to do just about any expression.

Never buy a puppet not made by folkmAnis! Quality, comfortable, ADORABLE! we own a huge collection of puppets but folkmAnis is the most well made puppet. Expressive, cute

This is a very nice puppet, however I returned it because the opening for your hand is large and obvious. It was my fault for not noticing in the pictures. I like the Folkmanis puppets with the hidden openings so the kids can play with it as a stuffed animal and a puppet. I've gotten the sheep dog, sheep, basset hound, and wolf and I'm very happy with each one.

This puppet is large and has a good hand opening. It was a great price and the kids loved it so what more can I say? I put him on my arm like he is sitting and the kids think he looks so funny sitting like that. The quality is really great and it looks like it will last for a nice long time.

He is a substitute for my dog as it isn't possible to have a real dog anymore!!!

An absolutely delightful and 'happy' playful puppy puppet. As always, he is of the highest quality, made from specialist 'fur' fabrics with blended colours giving the appearance of a highly realistic coat. He has a solid, chunky build, sits 38cm tall unaided in a begging posture and can be brought to life by inserting a hand in the back of his head. His eyes are especially expressive and he will provide hours of amusement for adults and children alike. The hand opening is quite large and he can be easily manipulated by an adult's hand or a child's making him suitable for all ages. Although expensive for a toy puppet, this is Folkmanis quality and you get what you pay for, ie the very best quality and realism. Irresistible and very highly recommended.

This is a great plush puppet and the kids enjoy it a lot and one sleeps with it still.
