A very disappointing bit.
Took it out of the package. Installed it in my drill press chuck. Set up the DP belt for 480 rpm- the slowest possible. And started to drill my planned four, two inch deep holes in a piece of 4x6 pine. Two hours later the first hole was completed. Another 45 minutes and the second hole is now 1/4inch deep. I expected better. The bit is still bright and shiny, but it is just not cutting. It seems to have dulled significantly during the first hole. The pine got the better of this bit very quickly. It looks like it's time to buy a better quality bit so that I can complete my 4 hole project. UPDATE- I sharpened the bit and it briefly cut better. Completion of all 4 holes required multiple stops to remove and resharpen. It just will not maintain a cutting edge, even working in nice dry pine which had been sitting in my climate controlled shop for over one year.

GREAT BIT!
We're using this 2.75" Forstner bit to drill 'windows' in 6"x6" beams (with a drill press) in the railings of a bridge we're building. We have a lot of windows to drill and didn't want to risk down time if the bit broke or wore out, so we bought two. So far the first bit is still going strong. It's a good thing these bits have 1/2" shafts. It cuts nice smooth holes.

Great customer service! Great Product!
Lowest price I’ve seen on a 2-1/2” forstner bit. It’s precise and tough. Well made product. I had questions about the delivery and customer service contacted me immediately and worked out the issue with me. I will definitely buy from this seller again.

Durable
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It works great, I have punches about 20 holes so far in walnut and maple and it is still chomping away. The bit is very long and I wouldn't use this if you have a benchtop drill press. Not a negative, just a heads up.

Great bit for the money, cuts cleanly and smoothly without requiring a great deal of pressure.
Bit is a beast. It is about 6 1/4 inch long including the 1/2 dia shank. You absolutely need a drill press to use it. I used it to cut 40 1/2" inch deep holes in hard maple. Was able to bore holes easily with only a small bit of pressure on the press handle. Holes were smooth and there was no burning. I did touch up the two main cutting faces with a small diamond sharpener after about 20 holes, but that's my standard procedure with Forstner bits.

Avoid purchasing bit
Bit would not maintain a cutting surface. It ripped edge. Bad performance And then we had to pay postage to return the inferior bit.
