Little Thing Packs a Punch
Loud and powerful. Hasn't died on me yet! Has a clean sound, but you have to work for it--mess around with the knobs to get your perfect sound. Ease of use is definitely a factor, there wasn't a point where I was confused as to what I had to do. Has a quality build, that I know because I've dropped it a few times and it's held up. And the practice value is great, nice for your own little corner of the room when you don't want to distract others too much with a huge amp.

Get One!
All you guys who play guitars gotta get one of these little brutes.I used my wireless unit to keep from having a cord dangling, but as others have noted, it's so tiny it'll get tippy very easily.Sounds remarkable out of the box, (battery was included) and will amaze your pals if you can spring it on 'em unawares.Get the optional 9v cord too, you'll need it. That way the battery will always be ready to goof on your buddies.Really, this amp is gonna be so handy for practice and it has interesting gain settings and tone settings.

My take on this mini smp
First off, I see it's now selling for about $10 less than I paid for mine. As compact practice amp its okay. I use my solid body and acoustic electric 6 string guitars and my 3 strung cigar box guitars through it. Sounds a might tinney, but messing with the tone, gain, and volume knobs help. I had seen videos where players use a 3.5 cord to run from the headphone Jack on this amp and into the 3.5 accessory input on a larger amp. This allows you to use the control knobs on the mini amp, and that controls the tone. I ran it into a rechargeable Mugig portable amp. I haven't been real happy about the sounds from the Mugig by itself. But, using the Mugig's power and bigger speaker with the Fender mini basically as a preamp, really injected some very nice sounds.

Returning and buying something else (Editing just a couple of days later)
Update: While I'm still returning this mini-amp, I'm upgrading the rating from 1 to 3 stars. Giving it one more try before returning, I was able to get what I think is good output from this little guy. That said, I already pulled the trigger on the Fender Frontman 10G and will go with that.I tried adjusting the levels on this amp and on my guitar. Admittedly, I'm so new to this that I might have missed an obvious adjustment but I couldn't escape annoying static. Also, I am looking to be able to add a bit of reverb. After all it is an electric guitar and I would like some rock effects. Anyway, I'm returning this little guy and picking up something just a bit bigger with an overdrive setting. We'll see.

Don't waste your money
Very cheap amplifier. It's noisy with DC or 9v battery. Don't waste your money in this product.

Inexpensive, compact, and LOUD = great little amp.
I bought the Mini Tone Master as a practice amp for my Dean EVO electric guitar, and love it -- but there are a few things you should know before a possible purchase:1. When they say "mini," they mean it. It's a tiny little thing about the size of a hardcover book (or smaller), and about as thick (2" thick or so).2. It also runs off a 9V battery, though if you have a DC9V adapter, there's a plug for it. it also has a 1/4 jack for standard headphones or earbuds as well.3. It's LOUD. Even when at low volume its tones will fill a room. This is a major plus for such a tiny, inexpensive amp.Controls on the amp are great; it has a gain/distortion knob that is almost as good as having an overdrive or gain effects pedal hooked up to a full-size amp. It's strong enough to where if you're playing small gigs such as coffeehouses or hole-in-the wall small bars, you won't need to lug along your 10W (or larger) amp with you, though that may depend on the tone your guitar puts out to begin with. Still, this is an awesome deal; I paid about $30 here on Amazon for it, so if you need a practice amp but don't want to spend a ton of cash, snatch up one of these little bad boys. You won't be sorry.

a beginning guitarist's review
I have a small apartment in a small but densely populated apartment complex - space and noise is an issue. As a beginning guitarist, I contemplated a small amp but decided on the Mini Tone Master (because in my apartment, the smaller the better). Also, I had no need for ample volume or a variety of controls being at the level that I am... I just wanted something no-frills that was small, compact with enough quality sound to help me as I practice. The Mini Tone Master delivers well.I was pretty surprised at the range of sounds the little guy can produce (from distortion grungy to a softer bluesy tone). It does not come with a power adapter but we already have on in the apartments and works well with that or with a battery. Battery life is also pretty good. I've had the same battery in there for several months already, playing several times a week and sometimes leaving it on accidentally for a day or two and no signs of battery drain so far.It is a little frustrating sometimes, as another reviewer mentioned, to remove the distortion but with enough fiddling, I found a setting that was acceptable to my ears. While I didn't need volume, this little guy can be loud! No weakness there.I also plugged an acoustic-electric classical guitar into the mini tone master and it also worked surprisingly well.
