WAZA's UP
I have the Distortion and Super Overdrive Waza Craft pedals, but the Blues Driver is my favorite. I have the standard Blues Driver and I like it, so I knew the BD-2W was going to be a sure bet. When it went on discount, I could no longer resist the temptation. I have played it with the Keeley Katana Mini boost and the Boss GE-7 equalizer also both on at the same time. The BD-2W keeps its character in the mix. I prefer the switch in the 'Custom' voice position as the added sustain is much appreciated from my Strat single coil in the neck position. It just sounds good and that works for me.

One of my favorites!
This Boss Blues Driver has become one of my new favorites. It sounds good solo, or grouped with other pedals. The sound is so nice. It is a really sturdy pedal too. It also sounds good with a variety of guitars (Strat, LP, Flying V). It even sounds good on a small practice amp. Whether you are in a band or just a home noodler, you will love this pedal. If you only ever splurge on one Boss pedal, this is the one to get.

Great pedal!!!!
I'm not José Satriani, but for me this pedal has an amazing balance between an overdrive and a non heavy distortion. Just for music which requires a wide spectrum... Not only for blues... the internet can provide amazing explanatory videos about usability and vs to others like tubescreamer and so on...

Big Sound at a great price.
Like the other reviews state, this is a FUN pedal! I have it connected to my massive pedal box so it simply plugged right in to my power array with no issues. It sounds clean and is very loud! The tone is nice. BUT I also own the Boss Heavy Metal pedal which is a fantastic pedal. I've used it for years so when I added the Blues Driver, I was deeply disappointed in how close it sounds to the Heavy Metal pedal. I have both pedals lined up and I switch them back and forth to test. Both sound a lot alike. It's not enough to really go 3-stars but I was really hoping for a more mellow blues sound and instead I got more of a ROCK sound. It's OK as I have the tone control adjusted in such a way that it's tweaked for a different sound and not a total loss but .. dynamically, it's not all that. The volume of the pedal is great. It really pushes the envelope, even more than the Heavy Metal. That said, it gets 4 stars as by itself, it is a kick-butt pedal. I currently have a slew of FX going through my iPad and into my pedal box (volume -> compressor -> FX -> delay -> amp) and this pedal certainly holds its own amongst the other FX pedals linked to it. I'm glad I own it but I am not sure the price warrants what you get. If you don't already own a Heavy Metal pedal, then it would be a fantastic addition to your stomp collection.

Great Pedal! This Pedal really opens up the sound of your amp. Beautiful top end sprinkle, and plenty enough gain. Not Metal gain, but great hard rock gain. Boss pedals are built to last, and are very consistent with great classic sound. For the price range, you don’t get better.

Assolutamente consigliato.

I can't compare this to the non-Waza version since haven't tried that one. For reference: I'm using this with various guitars and pickups, going into the clean channel of a valve amp I'm very familiar with. First, the tone and musicality of this pedal is remarkable - in a very good way - ranging from almost creamy to super biting, as you change the settings. There is a huge range of gain. At low levels it can act as a tone enhancing boost. Right though to smooth searing blues lead. The volume had all the range you could need, so great for a solo volume increase if that's useful for you. At reasonable gain levels there's no discernible added noise or hum, and the dynamic sensitivity of this creature is so responsive to touch, finger or plectrum intensity, and guitar volume knob that I spent hours with the pedal set to on, and just vibing out using my guitar controls and pickups and having a magical vibe out. Yet to really explore the custom setting switch tones, but initially, that introduces another spectrum of slightly different options. I am over the moon with this pedal and highly encourage you to try it if looking for this type of pedal. I've owned the closely competing green pedal by another brand, which is also phenomenal, so I don't see it as better or worse, just different. This one suits my preferences better, but that's entirely subjective. A final word: I'm finding this great as both a viable extra amp channel, as well as something I can keep on whilst using the clean channel (set to really clean) and breaking up the sound purely by rotating the guitar's volume knob.
