Pilot Precise V5 RT Refillable & Retractable Rollerball Pens, Extra Fine Point Pens 0.5 mm, Red, Pack of 2 - Ideal for School, Journaling & Office Writing

I've been using Pilot V5 pens for years at my office. I know there are cheaper more durable pen products out there. But the ink quality and color is just for me, far superior to other pens. I actually have another friend who is also an engineer and this is the brand he uses as well. I think the ink just shows up on the paper much clearer and brighter making it easier to read. Now that they are making these pens in a retractable larger pen body I had to try these out. And I love these even better. I've been using these for a while now and my feeling is that they are more durable than the standard non retractable type. I have emptied at least one of them out completely. Time perhaps to try the refill option now. Though I have a feeling the refill might actually be more expensive than just getting another pen. Either way I really love thse pens. As far as writing these pens are slightly larger so the writing grip on the pen is better than the standard non-retractable versions. Another nice feature. My wife hates the regular pens cause more than a few times over the last 20 years I've left then in a bad spot and the ink has soaked into a shirt or pants, or you name it. Now that they have a retractable option this is the way to go cause it prevents that problem.

Ask any engineer and they will tell you that a good red pen is a must have. These particular pens are my favorite. The diameter is perfect to grip. They are very durable unless they fall directly on the tip, best to unclick them when not in use. The ink is bright red and you can write as fast as you like and they won't splotch. Overall, an excellent value for the money.

I'm a fan of the G2 pens but the price went up a lot since the last time I bought them so I thought I'd try these. Writes just like the G2, only thing is it's a 0.5mm compared to a 0.7mm. Finer point doesn't let it roll as smoothly as wider point. Other than that same. Hopefully it's better and will last longer.

I use the red Pilot rollerball fixed nib pens but I usually only find them in sets with other colors which I do not need. I tried these and they write / draw equally well as the fixed pens.

They write great I was hoping they were what I was looking for and they were. I will definitely reorder when in need of more.

I have trouble using anything other than a Pilot pen these days. The V5 RT's are at the top of my list. Great hold, nice precise lines and easy to control. I love that they sell them in individual color packages. 5 stars.
