I wish I had taken a before picture so I could include pics. My daughter is 14 and was super blonde when she was younger, but like with most, her hair has darkened. It's still beautiful, but she wanted to try this to lighten it up a little. I didn't expect much honestly, but after only 3 washes, I can't believe the difference!!! She loves it, and it can be hard to get a 14 year old to love anything so... Success!! It doesn't dry her hair out, but she is a little on the oily side to begin with. It just makes her hair look, feel, and smell nice and clean, shiny, and blonde!!

This is the best shampoo. It is all I will ever use. From the wonderful scent to the texture of the shampoo it checks all of the boxes I require in a shampoo.It does keep my hair ever so lightened and works like a charm. It makes my hair soft and I'm almost sure it helps with keeping my hair looking dry and clean. Other shampoos leave my hair greasy or smelling weird. John Fried Hair lightening shampoo is your ticket if you just want to upkeep on your blonde or if you just want a subtle change. This stuff is magic! Now I can only find it on Amazon as my local stores don't carry it anymore.

This is my favorite go to shampoo to help my blonde hair. I have used it for years. Great product.

I’m not expecting miracles, but this Go Blonder shampoo is actually quite decent. I’d consider buying it again—this time with the matching conditioner—for potentially better results. It works fairly well, though the formula could use some improvement. If left on too long, it can dry out your hair. Everyone’s scalp reacts differently, but for me, it was generally fine, just not perfect.

I used a darker color on my hair a few weeks ago by mistake. It came out looking very dark blonde and my natural is a medium blonde. Rather than risk ruining my hair by coloring it again so soon, I decided to try this shampoo instead. It had great reviews and is very reasonably priced. It lightened my hair quite a bit so that it looks more like my own color. My hair feels and looks soft and shiny, instead of dried out as I feared it would. This shampoo is amazing! My hair looks and feels great, and a few more shampoos should have me right back to what I wanted. I've never used this product before, but I intend to use it every third shampoo from now on. I don't want it to get too light and by alternating it with my other shampoo it should keep looking and feeling soft and natural. If I could give it 10 stars I would! I'm a definite fan of this product.Linneaann

I’ve been using the shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in spray as directed. It’s given me great results! I’m not sure why but my naturally honey-blonde hair had gotten a bit duller and darker lately (probably lack of exposure to direct sunlight as I’ve become something of a troglodyte) and I wanted it brighter but without risking a full-on dye treatment. I wanted something simple and DIY and hard to mess up. This system works, it brought my hair subtly back to the brighter shade I wanted. It washed out the red tones but I’m ok with that. Also, the products leave my hair silky soft, shiny, and smelling delightful! My hair is fine texture and this system doesn’t weigh it down or leave a weird film. Honestly I have nothing negative to say at all. If you’re looking for a foolproof at-home system to gradually and gently lighten and brighten your blonde, this is it!

This is a decent shampoo. It cleaned my hair. I didn't notice any lightening though. A little disappointed. But, it was worth a try for the price.
