Flaws--too many things are not believeable
Yes, I am a fan of Breaking Bad, however, there are major flaws in the story that just have to be addressed. Here are a few:l. Walt Jr. is far too cooperative for a 16 year old boy. When asked to do chores, he always says, "Sure, Mom!" like he is soooo happy. Most 16 year olds are sassy, self-centered, sleep all day-up all night, talk back, spend 99% of time with friends, NEVER do housework, and more. His grades would tank, too, if his dad was as much trouble as Walt Senior.2. Jesse's teeth are too perfect. A heavy meth user's teeth ground away with the constant use and gums are red, bloody, soft. Other users on the show have bad teeth, but not Jesse. NOT believeable.3. There is hardly any mention of DNA. At all murder scenes in which Walt just walks away, his DNA would be everywhere. BOTH their DNA and fingerprints were all over Uncle Tio's house--case over.4. At Tio's when Tuko throws Jesse and Walt's phones into the back yard, police would have found them, found their fingerprints and case over. Law enforcement searches at least one mile radius of a crime scene--inch by inch.5. Jesse is not that attractive that super hot chicks would be after him. The actresses chosen to play his love interests are way too pretty for a guy who is a big loser. They are also too tall and too big for him. He seems overpowered by them.6. The theft of lab equipment would have been noticed. Other teachers would have complained that things were missing. Schools keep up with stuff better than that. Each teacher uses the equipment, so someone would have noticed. There is always a bitchy person on the staff who keeps up with stuff right down to pencils and erasers.7. No one ever seems to be looking out a window to see murders and kidnappings. Just not realistic.8. Mike would have immediately killed Walt when Walt killed Gus. Mike would know he had to get to Walt before Walt got to him.9. Killing 9 in prisons? Come on!! Prisons have cameras everywhere. Someone would have seen something. NOT believeable.10. When Hank was driving by the laundry, he would have seen Walt's car. We cannot believe that a skilled detective would rely on one person to drive him by that place only one time. He would have driven by at all hours of the day and night.11. Walt would have spent his money all along for basic household needs. They were barely getting by, so he would have been buying groceries, new shoes for Walt, Jr., baby clothes, gas, etc. He would have always had a pocket full of cash, to make Skyler's life smoother. She would have liked that and he could have eased her along better.12. Why did Walt make a pass at the principal? Does not make sense for him, logically. We are to believe he does all things out of logic. This would only harm him.13. We are told over and over how he does this for his family. All right-----we get it. You do not have to remind us....enough already.14. Jesse throwing money away would not happen. He would be doing his best to show that he is a winner to his parents. He would have been buying things for his parents, sending his mom flowers on all occasions, and spending the cash on the girlfriends for diamonds, clothes, etc.15. Jesse would not drive a beat up car. He would have a Lexus or Mercedes. All drug dealers drive the best cars in town. The local car dealers rely on them to spend their cash and everyone turns a blind eye.16. Someone with the DEA would be on Walt and Jesse's side. The money is just too much of a temptation. They could have paid off their own informant.17. Jesse and Walt's DNA would be in the UHaul Truck that did the magnet thing. The magnets would get traced back to the junk yard and case closed.18. All junk yards have to give account for cars that are smashed. Even though they got rid of the RV, there would be enough left for DNA, even fingerprints. Case closed at that point.19. Someone would notice that Walt was visiting Jesse in the hospital. Case closed.20. The mask found in the desert would have had fingerprints or DNA from Walt. Case closed. It did lead them back to the school. DEA would have put in cameras and found Walt stealing more property. Most schools have cameras inside anyway. Case closed.21. Once Walt gets all that money, women would be after him.22. There are not enough female characters in this show. Women are always around where money is being made. Walt would have been tempted with plenty of 15 to 20 year olds. Hot chicks can sniff out cash.23. Walt would have been using cough drops with all that coughing.24. There is a mouth wash that cancer doctors prescribe for lung patients because of the dry mouth and odors. Walt would constantly be using mouthwash and cough drops.25. NO one with lung disease can run up and down steps. He would be on oxygen therapy with the air tanks needed at all times. Uncle Tio has them and he is sitting. Walt would not be that active with real lung cancer. Lungs determine all movement of the body. He would not be able to move like he does. Even driving a car is difficult with lung cancer and chemo.26. Nothing is said about the raids on Gus's delivery trucks. Law enforcement would have been involved, this would lead to Gus; case over.27. Ted would not be all goo goo over a 40 year old pregnant woman. He would have a long line of 20 year olds in his bed.28. Once Skylar found problems with Ted's books, he would have fired her. Men do not like bad news.29. They can pay $800,000 cash for a car wash with no questions asked????? How is that money laundering????30. Walt would have been traveling to the Caymen islands or other sites that will launder money for him. He could afford to hire a private plane.31. Walt would have an alternate plan of escape. With 80 million he would have many options.32. He would have been sending the family on long vacations, as in Europe or Australia. People with new money travel. He would keep them out of town and out of his way and out of harm.33. Most people who live in the West do speak Spanish. A person with Walt's intelligence would pick it up easily.34. Walt would buy diamonds and expensive shoes for Skylar. Woman can be bought off. Logically, he would appeal to her ego. As Ron White says, "Diamonds, that will shut her up."35. The baby does not seem to grow very fast. Most children will not fit into a bassinet at age 6 to 9 months. Is that a real baby? Looks fake. Why is it always wearing a hat? In New Mexicto with heat in the 100's to 110's?36. Skylar would have followed Walt to the laundry. case closed.37. Friends of Crazy 8 would have gone to see Jesse as he was last seen with him. Why was his family never shown as interested in his disappearance. Too many people disappear with no one seeming to care. Not realistic.38. The police are portrayed as bunbling fools. Not so. They are generally very thorough. Not believeable that no police officer can put two and two together.39. There would have been a police report filed when Walt crashed the new car he bought for Walt Jr. No one gets away with that kind of damage without someone noticing. case closed40. Hank has plenty of chances to bug Walt's home or car. He would have in order to find out the truth, then, he could have built his case.41. Gus's operation was way to big for him to rely on one person to cook. He would have had cooks all over the place. He could have set up labs in his trucks. He was too smart to put all his eggs in one basket.42. Tio would not pee in a pool in front of the Don--never happen. Pee on flowers or people, but not the pool where gals are gonna be swimming.43. Walt Jr. never changes. A kid at age 16 changes in many ways. His hair style is not modern. His clothes are like circa 1995.44. Jesse's shirts never get dirty. The white stays the whitest. He sleeps in clothes, but they do not wrinkle and he does not smell. Not believeable.45. Hospitals film all visitors. Hank would have reviewed the tapes to see who was visiting Jesse. case closed46. All in all, too many things just are not believeable. Police are not that bad at their jobs and criminals are not that lucky.

Nothing You Have Ever Seen Before
I just spent the last two weeks watching every episode of every season of this series. There is nothing, and I mean nothing I can say that has not been said by everyone who has loved this show and watched it from the start until the end and also demonstrated by over 7 thousand responses. I would normally write a more detailed review but there is nothing that anyone will learn from me other then I suggest that as long as people are not offended by hard core material such as drugs, violence, sex, and guns, then you MUST watch. But if you think that this is all about drugs then you would be wrong. Some of the best acting I have ever seen on the big film, Broadway, or on television is right here in this show. I have said many shows are unique. Examples would be Mash, Happy Days, Leverne and Shirley, Threes Company, Cheers, Seinfeld, NYPD Blue, and in our present day and year of 2015 you could say Supernatural, and The Blacklist (in my opinion). These shows have something in common. They were all major hits for many years and are still with us to this day and can be seen still in re-runs and many of these shows became of our culture to this very day. Breaking Bad will take you from the most serious of topics, so much so you wonder if you can watch the next scene without placing your hand in front of your eyes, then it will move you to laughing so hard you are actually crying, then so sad you will actually cry, and then at times, you don't know how you feel. This show brings out every emotion I think we have. It will move you, even inspire you in some ways, and most of all it will entertain you as much if not more then any show in history. The characters are played by two of the best Actors of our generation. Yes you can argue that. But I say there are actors that are as good, but none that are better, and it's a shame they don't give out Oscars for these types of performances. I think Blockbuster, I think Pitt, Cruise, but you can find actors in this series, men and woman who easily are far more entertaining and have the acting skills well beyond any of the actors that come to your mind when you think of movies.Bryan Cranston who plays Walt, Aaron Paul who plays Jesse (my favorite character for laughs), are just two of a long list of names who I feel took brilliant writing and elevated the words on the page to something magical. If you watch the first few episodes you will understand the premise of the show. But if you want the full ride, the Gold Star Package in entertainment anywhere, then this is a MUST see and you have to watch episode by episode until you have finished every season. I am actually a bit depressed and sad it ended. This show is so good, in a way I am glad I watched this way, as the anticipation of waiting each week and waiting during the off season would have driven me crazy. Remember waiting for the Soprano's to come back after almost 2 years? I could not go through that again. Yes I am weak. lolThis show is also about a man and his transformation into something that most would consider a monster. But you still route for this monster all the way through. It's about choices one makes in the face of adversity, and the ramifications of those actions and how it affects people around you, and like a domino affect, how it reaches out way outside your family. It's about love, family, trust, children, extended family, choices, good and bad, right vs wrong depending on how you view each situation. And through all of this, is the acting of the two lead men and supporting cast that will leave you speechless. Anna Gunn as Walts wife Skyler, Dean Norris as the DEA Agent, Bob Odenkirk as the lawyer Saul, Giancarlo Esposito, Johnathon Banks, RJ Mitte (Walt and Skyler's son) does a brilliant job, Jesse Plemons, and the list goes on. Just Google "Cast of Breaking Bad" and you can see an Oscar winning cast. It's no wonder this show won and it's actors have set records for all kinds of awards. Even the Pilot which started it all was up for six prime time Emmy's. You can see it here..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Breaking_BadBreaking Bad has been nominated for 262 awards and has won 108. You can not argue with these numbers. The show starts out simple enough with the main character being a chemistry teacher who gets bad news, and then is faced with a choice. This is where the show takes off. Everyone knows about this show. I am the last one on the planet to finally get it. As much as we can say there are shows that are unique, one of a kind, and each decade has at least one, Breaking Bad will leave it's legacy as one of the most unique shows to every grace our households once a week on AMC for six seasons. You are really missing out if you don't watch this show. You will be more then entertained and you certainly will never forget this series for the rest of your life. I cant believe the show is now over and has been since September 2013. I was late getting to the table on this one. A truly Brilliant cast and again, I cant stress enough just how great these characters are. One of my favorite episodes is called "The Fly". The character Jesse in this episode had me in tears the whole hour it is was on. This is a roller coaster of a ride of emotions for all six seasons. I say watch it and give it a chance. But I have a feeling I was the last person on earth to finally watch this series. I am so grateful listened to my friends. I know I have not said anything that everyone does not already know, but it was nice to finally say I watched it and had a great two weeks of entertainment.

Cracked
The product arrived on time. The discs seem to be in good shape. However the case was cracked. It was still usable. The packaging was not the best.

Excellent quality; trustworthy supplier.
Arrived undamaged in sturdy cardboard envelope.👌Better than beaten-up, like my complete Airwolf dvds - just sent in a plastic bag, ordered by a friend, before I had an Amazon account. Obviously new, in cellophane, and not shrink wrapped and possibly a return. CASE AND DISCS PRISTINE!. A friend, last year, ordered me "5th & Final Season", supplied by Amazon from Italy. Turned out to be Region 1, not 2; checked first disc, and was fine, but out of warranty found ALL 3 FINAL SEASON discs could not be read by my Samsung and LG multi-region blu ray players. (To be fair, all my UK Region 2, and most of my Region US1 DVD box sets have rotted; so I only buy UK/US dvd/blu-ray if heavily discounted; or used, from Amazon & eBay.) I have now watched this set, and all discs have excellent picture and sound. Thank you. Will try to use this supplier, in future.

You are ADDICTED and you CRAVE more
MGM are noted for making slushy cheesy films filled with unbelievable stories of rich man meets poor girl; falls in love; and the woman gets to live a life of luxury. Not so here - MGM have broken the mould - for what you have in a gritty 'tell life as it really is' story – the sort favoured by Warner Brothers. Here is a ‘story well told’ that is filled with twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat - a story that is a 'black comedy' full of pathos, juxtapositions, intrigue, murder, and much much more as it examines the ‘dark’ side of ‘the human condition’.These are not two-dimensional characters without any depth that one encounters in many many films and TV series - these characters are real and 'true to life. All of the characters are seriously flawed; all of the characters are 'two-faced'; not one of them is 'nice' - and every character has their own 'hidden agenda' - and while you find that you cannot 'warm' to any of them, these sleazy double-dealing, double-crossing characters will speak VOLUMES to you – and make you question YOUR integrity. All things must come to an end – but – this amazing series has a VERY fascinating ending to what is a truly wonderful cinematic epic of gigantic proportionsAnd the clever bit – you are ADDICTED – but there isn’t any more – now what?

Devil's Cocktail
The best of the brilliant series, as it all comes together and all the lines of plot and character have their date with Destiny. High drama, seat-edge tension, shock, sadness and some vindication. For me, Breaking Bad is a true phenomenon, not only as narrative, but in cinematographic style, the way it is all put together, its raw power, even the musical score. It does not glorify crystal meth, but rather exposes it for what it is, a terrifying man-made lethal cocktail. You can't say more without spoiling it. See it!

If you haven't discovered Breaking Bad then do but save the final season for the end
Before I discovered Breaking Bad I checked out the reviews on line. Never found a negative comment worth considering. It's an addictive show that is about addicts. I would recommend it to anyone.Faults with the series? Well, it's a matter of opinion. In a well told unfolding and gripping story, it's less about the character portrayal (especially female characters) but this is a petty criticism (that I make) because that's not what I think it's trying to do. It depicts the characters as real-life and as deeply as is required to tell one great story with lost of emotional and intellectual twists, turns and tugs. The best "TV" I've seen in a while and the best drama I've enjoyed too. Start at the beginning and watch it right through. There are spoilers out there so avoid them. Almost every episode was high intensity.I apologize if I am the one who gets you hooked.

Follow that!
I won't go into a long analysis as that's been done by others - suffice to say that despite the sordid theme and extreme violence, I've never enjoyed a TV series as much. Well-written, inventive (but with a little undercurrent of dark humour), the characters are all fully-rounded and have their own little back-stories - no cardboard cut-outs here. Full marks also for the lack of swear words - I only counted two real obscenities, one written, one spoken - all the more effective for that. Many TV series and films are full of swearing to their detriment (they still haven't got over the novelty of uncensored language on screen). If you had to suspend disbelief occasionally, well that's fine. The only drawback was, as I neared the end, I hated starting a new episode, because I knew it would be finished all too soon and will probably never be matched...but I'll be watching avidly to see what Vince Gilligan comes up with next!
