Q5605 Replacement Sediment Filter Cartridge

HUBBY PURCHASES THE FILTERS FOR RO AND I ASSUME HE HAS DONE IS DUE DILIGENCE TO ACQUIRE THE BEST PRICE. FILTER DOES THE JOB.

EDIT: After a few days, the water pressure came back to normal, and now I am enjoying perfectly clean and good tasting water. Increased the rating to 4-starOriginal Review:I own a DuPure 2-stage water filter that I reheaded from -60 threads to standard Omnipure threads to save money on filter replacement (you can buy the reheading kit online, just not in Amazon). For the filter replacement, I bought the Q5605 (standard sediment filter, first stage) and the Q5640 ( Omnipure Q5640 Replacement Filter Cartridge , post filter). Note that you can use the Q5633 ( Omnipure Q5633 Replacement Filter Cartridge ) instead of the Q5640 if you do not care about the "coconut shell".The filters arrived in good condition and were easy to thread in. The water has good taste, and overall it works ok. However, I cannot give a good rating because of two reasons:- Upon turning the water on, some black water came out for a few seconds. That made me feel a little uneasy about the cleanliness of the filter. Also, the first 10-20 glasses of water had some white cloud coming out of them. By now, after flowing several gallons, it seems to be ok, but it was not an encouraging start- The water flow has considerably reduced compared to the previous filters (that I bought in a different shop). It is slowly increasing, but it has been a week and it still takes forever to fill a glassNote that since I replaced both the Q5605 and Q5640 at once, I am not sure which one is the main cause for these problems.

This filter was very easy to install and I've seen no leaks from it. The price is comparable to others.

I have ordered this product for the replacement of my filter. The order arrived on time and so far I have been using this and found no problems. It saved some money when ordered online. Only one thing I would expect the supplier/manufacturer to add is the installation procedure. Except for that I am happy with the rest.
