One of The best bread makers
I've tried 3 bread machines and the Cruisinart is the best . I had my first machine for a few years and used it every week till it finally went out on me and I purchased a second one. One of the reasons I love this one is the bread doesn't riase all the way to the top of the lid and stick. It's the first one that didn't stick to the top when the bread bakes. My bread browns beautifully and make a perfect loaf every time I use it.

Bread baking for dummies made easy
I've always been overwhelmed at baking bread and after researching and reviewing several makers, this one has exceeded my expectations. The recipes I've found make it easy and take the worry out of a tasty bread. Just remember to take the paddle out before it rises! Easy to get replacement paddles, but note to self!

Love this machine
Love this machine. Had a Cuisinart for 15 years and it broke in a move so I replaced it with the same model. Great bread maker. I have had others but none compare to this one

I really like my new machine
I really like my new machine! I was using an older model for years and I am pleased with the settings and the outcome of the breads so far that I have made. Although I would suggest that if you make the sourdough recipe to set it on light crust because the loaf was a tad bit hard. Great flavor and good starter recipe though.

Save your money
I usually trust cruisnart products and have pretty good luck..however I purchased the bread maker to make bread on a regular basis however only after about 2 months use? The bread pan fell apart on the bottom and after trying to fix and glue ?? The pan now won’t even stay in place 😡😡 200 dollar piece of garbage

Better than I can do by hand
Try as I might I've never been able to make a smooth round dough, probably due to problems with my back. Also might be due to a lack of patience... in any case, this machine kneads the dough perfectly every time and even cooks it beautifully. I love it! It is too big and heavy to store, but it is only as big and heavy as it needs to be. Any lighter and it would not stay in place, because the motor is very powerful and shakes the machine. Of course it needs to be powerful, it's kneading bread after all.Thankfully, the design is handsome and sits atop the counter very nicely. It reminds me of a 1970's diner. It's a little odd with my rustic decor, but still looks nice. I would not recommend it if you live in an apartment, unless you are absolutely certain you will use it daily. Counter space is too valuable in an apartment for such an appliance. That being said, having fresh bread is so rewarding and I adore being able to enjoy bread without all the plastic bags for bread bought at the grocery store.

Great bread machine
We don't buy commercially baked bread anymore. We've been using different bread machines for years now and this Cuisinart which we've had for over two years makes the best bread by far. This is probably due to the convection baking method which gives you a nice crunchy crust on the outside and a moist light dough inside. Because of our allergies it's also reassuring to know every ingredient that went into our bread because we put it in there. Sometimes a bit noisy but the smell of fresh baked bread in the house makes up for it.We've had this machine a couple of years now and thought this might help those not familiar with the process. This is a great breadmaker but sometimes you have to adjust the recipes to get that perfect loaf because of differences in humidity - that varies with the season or the altitude. You can minimize the differences by weighing the flour on a food scale instead of using a measuring cup and to get the best results you should use "bread flour". We usually make the "basic honey whole wheat" and have been getting the best results with this recipe after some trial and error:1 1/4 cups ( 10 oz. )of room temperature water1 1/4 tsp. salt2 1/2 oz. unsalted butter2 tbsp. liquid honey6 oz. white bread flour11 oz. whole wheat bread flour1 pinch of ground ginger2 tsp. active dry or bread machine yeast ( don't let it get wet before it starts mixing )Set breadmaker to 3 and press startWhen the 2nd beeper sounds remove the paddle and replace dough in pan to continue until bakedHappy breadmaking

Good machine BUT.....
The Cuisinart CBK200C breadmaker is a very good machine. It makes a very good loaf. I've tried two of the three loaf sizes and they come out nicely browned, good crust and very tasty. The beep for adding the addins (raisins, nuts, etc) is loud enough to be heard. The warning button which allows the removal of the paddle (so you don't get huge holes in the bottom of the loaf) is very handy and easy to use. The loaf is easily removed from the pan. However, here is where the 4 stars comes in. The first removal of the pan from the machine was a nightmare and Amazon almost got the machine back. It sticks - hard ! An hour's worth of tugging did nothing until, after some online research, I found the answer. Give the pan a slight counterclockwise twist and then pull up, hard. This is apparently a very common problem with all the models of the Cuisinart Breadmakers and one that is never mentioned or even hinted at in the somewhat skimpy manual. When putting the pan back into the machine, make sure that you have aligned the holders under the bottom of the pan and the bottom of the pan holder. They should look like a cross "+". After the first time, the pan goes in and comes out very easily. I look forward to trying out the remaining recipes.

Opened up a whole new world.
This is really a great bread machine. I could easily go on forever but I will try to keep this review relatively brief. It arrived slightly larger than expected, and you will need a good chunk of counter space or to put it in the sink while operating it. It is very solid but does make a bit of noise on some of the cycles, especially kneading. It makes wonderful bread! I strongly recommend following the recipe directions as closely as possible until you become comfortable with the entire process, putting the ingredients in the right order, and removing the paddle after the final rise phase right before baking commences. The manual suggests that you can leave the paddle in but it will jack your bread up at the bottom and then you will have to take it out of the pan with tongs because it won't just fall out nicely at the end. This will result in a loaf of bread that ends up suited for french toast at best and croutons at worse.Take out the paddle!Highly recommend and relatively foolproof unit :)
