Works Great In My Non-Standard Application
Admittedly I'm not using these vents for anything near their intended purpose. They're gonna be air-extractors on a custom car build. I needed a chrome look so I polished away the brushed-metal finish for a more reflective surface. As others have pointed out, you don't press the center section to open and close it. It spins on a screw, so clockwise closes it, counter-clockwise opens it. It's possible to spin it too far, at which point the whole thing just falls off. I'm not using that center section, so that's no big deal to me. They look great, they're fairly sturdy, and exactly what I needed!

Très jolie bouche d'aération ! L'aluminium est peut-être un peu fin, mais par contre les découpes et l'emboutissage est parfait. Le rendu une fois posé est parfait !

Seems solid.
This is the interior end of the passive air intake system. Airflow can be adjusted by turning the center piece in or out. A foam cell filter will help keep the bugs out.
