Hard to judge its effectiveness, but we weren't bothered by any mosquitoes during our trip to Brazil. We did air out the clothing we applied the spray to for about 10 days before our trip, and packed those clothes in jumbo sealable plastic bags for our trip. We didn't notice any strong odor after that.

Glad I bought 4 used one can to coat all of the coats my wife and I use to avoid brambles in the woods. We forage and love hiking off-path. They all dried nicely in the sun on hangers no smell. Ticks are the worst hoping this helps

Really can't address its effectiveness yet (only used it yesterday) but sorry I didn't thoroughly read thru the very small print directions on the back (I just read how to use). There are some pretty scary warnings about use indoors that my daughter pointed out, too late. I wish they had at least enlarged the print on that part.

Much cheaper than sending you clothes off to be treated

I wanna liked this product and actually did just can't pass the price barrier for such a small amount of powder and even smaller spray you paying huge price. I mean that's really expensive..........

I spend a lot of time recreating in the woods around my central Virginia home, and ticks, especially seed ticks, are a major problem for me - I can end up with dozens of new bites from one hour in the woods. Seed ticks are larval ticks that have just hatched from an egg mass, and large number can get on you just from brushing against a group of them as you walk past a piece of vegetation that they're massed on. I finally decided to make a real effort to use this product every time I went in the woods. That means I needed to wear a pair of pants I treated with it every time I go out, so I bought a pair of light-colored pants at goodwill - the light color makes it easier to find ticks on you before they get far. I don't wash these pants every time I wear them, but the tratment is supposed to last through several washes. Anyway, the first time I wore the treated pants, I happened to look down near the bottom of one of the legs and there were probably a hundred seed ticks on them. And they werent moving! I believe they literally died on the pants. I got no bites. This has worked to prevent almost all bites for about ten different walks in the woods now. One time I got lazy and didn't change into the treated pants, and got about twenty new bites on my ankles. I'm sold. Lyme disease and alpha-gal are rampant in my area and I know way too many people who have one or the other. This product is gonna reduce my chances of contracting tick-borne diseases as long as I'm consistent in using it. Highly recommended.
