We have two ponds in the suburbs of a major metropolitan area where the water is heavily treated so it has to be re-treated to make it safe for the critters who live in the pond. This larger size is a better value than buying the smaller containers and we've been using it for a few years now along with our bacterial pond cleaner and our water quality has been great. Highly recommend.

Best stuff for the water. Get it in bulk.

The product works to clarify the water and remove chlorine. It is a must for topping off when the pond water evaporates. However, this is the second time that I have received the product when the bottle top was broken off on the side making it impossible to close the top of the bottle. With liquid inside who wants to have this product with the possibility of having it tip over and spill or lose its potency because it does not have a top. I don't know if it is a problem with the packaging or AMAZON delivery. That is why I am rating it with a 3.

With more and more cities turning to chloramine s as an additive in city water this stuff is golden... best part is, you can’t put too much in so there’s no need to worry. It’s never let me down, I will NOT buy another brand or product. A must for any pond owner...

First, I'm not one bit happy that the great minds that run this city have decided to add chloramine to the water supply. Now, everybody who has a fish pond has to spend $50.00 to remove it or it'll kill their fish. That said, this is about the best thing out there IMHO. I've tried $80.00 filters, but once you start using them, there's no way of knowing how much filtering remains. Bad design, if you ask me. If nothing else, they should include a testing kit so we'd know for sure. But then again I'm not reviewing the filters. So I'll give Winston Crystal Clear 5 stars because my fish are still alive and well.
