Didn't work
Didn't work, the pins didnt connect with the antenna leads. Use regular connector, cheaper but a bit more work. Looks like a good idea but didn't work on my truck antenna.

Shazaam! Works like magic!
Never worry again about not being able to splice a VHF antenna wire! This connector is everything they say and more. We had to remove our poling platform where our VHF antenna was mounted. This connector allowed us to cut the cable under the deck in the stern then just put it back together in five minutes or less! No loss of signal going or coming out of our Uniden radio! Rock on Shakespeare!!!

Did what it said, easily.
Everyone knows you shouldn't splice antenna wire. But if you are reading this, then you are looking to break the rules. This resolved an issue I had in that I really didn't have a way to get from my masthead to my radio without a splice. Well I did, just didn't want to take the mast off the boat to do it. Yeah cheap AND lazy. Easy to use, so far is working as expected. In other words I can hear radio calls through my VHF. Satisfied with my purchase.

Ease of use
Worked as advertised - no soldering and water tight connection. You need to take time to crimp the ends evenly in order to thread the ends onto the connection.

Worth the money and easy to install.
The instructions are intimidating, and I am a klutz. I followed instructions to the letter...connected quickly and well. Antenna works good as new. Do not be afraid of these splices, they are intuitive, easy, and hold well in the wind.

It Works
Used this product to join a new areial with an old VHF cable and hoped it would avoid me having to dismantle the boat o get a direct connection. Took 10 minutes to fit and it works...but I won't know how effective the join is in terms of any effect on broadcast distance until I take the boat to sea.
