Not the fastest charger, but those well versed in the Lithium Ion Batteries know the half amp current is the champs current. The best part of this charger is it's USB connectivity! Plug in a car while driving, or a power brick if you out in the middle of no where, or even a portable solar panel! Reverse polarity protection is great when you fumbling in the dark wondering about polarity with flat top unprotected cells (Yikes!) The portability provided with its slim form factor is also a plus, fits in the bag, car or pocket if you need to carry it, fit in my solar folding panel pocket as well. The last great feature is it's multiple battery charging capabilities, 18350s - 26650 (unprotected) allows anyone to charge their batteries, from flashlights, vapes and cameras, and also serves as a trusty charger to keep at home for different Lithium Ion cells. Awesome little charger, with a reliable manufacturer, highly recommend!

Xtar is known as a trustworthy, high quality standard maker of chargers. This is their bottom of the line and it is a solid little charger that performs as advertised. I think I'd run if I found a less expensive charger.

Charges at .5 amps which some may see as a problem. After researching lithium ion 18650 batteries at Batteryuniversity.com, the recommended charge rates for prolonged battery life is between .5 and .8 amps.One of the great things about this charger is it can use a power bank as its power source. So if I am away from wall outlets, I can plug my phone charging battery pack to recharge my 18650 batteries.This has no indicators other than red for charging, green for battery full lights. There are upgraded and more feature filled Xtar charges available. I bought this one for portability, USB based power input, and cost. I also have the Xtar VC4 which is fantastic but uses a round end power cable which makes it less versatile.

Seems to Charge all old and new 18650 battery's i throw at it im very satisfied with this purchase. However if you are looking for quick or fast charging dont count on this, it takes quite sometime to charge which is fine for my use but otherwise you may want to consider a charger more suitable for your needs

Perfect! I love this thing. I needed a charger but one that plugged into a USB battery hub and this was the right choice no doubt.

Much Better than I had anticipated. It charged my 18650 in 3 hours. I’m very pleased with this purchase.
