I am a professional artist as well as student. a good portion of my disposable income goes to building my art library and in the years of buying art books, this is the only one I have ever returned. I felt that many of the illustrations could not really be considered fashion ilustrations and a number of them I would characterize as as being downright amateur in their execution, their creators seeming to lack an understanding of the tools they were employing. It should be noted that many of the illustrations were done by students who are still developing their abilities and visual voice, and I appreciate that this book has provided a forum for their work alongside some very impressive professional work, making for a wide range of illustration samples. All in all, not a bad book but I found it to be a little too all over the place for my personal tastes

Much like the first book (Big Book of Fashion Illustration: A Sourcebook of Contemporary Illustration), the sheer range of styles and pieces make this an endless book of fantastic inspiration.However, as with most anthologies, there is a lot of crap mixed in with the good. This lack of consistency would usually have me questioning the books value - but considering the very reasonable price, you can't go too far wrong.Also, just in case there is any confusion, this book is not just an expanded version of Big Book of Fashion Illustration, so it's got all new content.
