Strong and Sturdy, glad I chose Xtend & Climb brand ladder!
I love that it does not occupy a lot of space when retracted. For some reason the builder placed the HVAC exchanger unit in the attic instead of on the side of the house like our last one, needless to say it is not easy access for a 66-yr old woman when I want to replace the HCF16-16 filter. I'll be darned if i have to pay someone every year just to replace it, as each filter is already $60+ apiece. So I had an excuse this year to purchase this ladder because of the pandemic I didn't want someone come in who might be asymptomatic and not very careful. I saved myself some bucks and will be in the future. I don't trust my husband to do it, he is a klutz.

Glad I went with Xtend & Climb for our attic access ladder! We like it so much, we bought another!
For several months, off and on, I've been looking for some type of ladder to access our upstairs attic through our closet access that's only a 22" x 31" opening. I originally wanted to get the Werner® Compact Attic Ladder, but because the entire ladder stores inside the attic (not above the access door), it won't fit well without constructing some kind of platform over one of the ducts near the opening.I wasn't familiar with telescoping ladders until I saw them come up on Amazon this month and found several different brands, many of which looked the same, just rebranded in different names. But I noticed that the Xtend & Climb® brand looked a bit nicer and had pretty great reviews, so I checked into them further.I decided to see what our local large hardware chains sold and found that they all sell the Xtend & Climb® brand, but Amazon had a better price (Amazon as the seller, not one of their vendors) so I ordered the red 10.5' 760P+ Home Series ladder off Amazon and I'm so glad I did, so is my husband!. He really didn't want to have to deal with installing the Werner Compact Attic Ladder, which would have meant needing to some how work around the ducting in our attic. The Xtend & Climb® 760p+ is going to work out so much better than our Little Giant® A-frame ladder because of the limited space in our closet. The Little Giant® takes up so much space, especially because of where the attic access is, an A-frame ladder can't be centered under the opening. Even if extended flat, the width of the legs won't easily fit in the attic opening, but the Xtend & Climb® fits perfectly and takes up very little space! It's now SO much easier to get up into our attic with our new Xtend & Climb® 760P+!UPDATE:We like our first Xtend & Climb® 760P+ ladder so much, a week later, we bought another one! I'm going to keep the new one in the garage for quickly clearing out the rain gutters on the first floor, in addition to using it as a grab-n-go ladder when I do work around my mom's house.

So easy to store if space is limited!
I first came across this product when a contractor who came to my house to check my roof pulled it out from behind the seat of his truck. I was amazed at how compact it was but even more by how sturdy it was...much more so than a traditional ladder. Now, instead of going into my basement & hauling a cumbersome ladder up steep steps, I pull my Xtend & Climb ladder out of my hall closet where it rests flat against a wall. I would advise anyone who uses it for the first time to be very careful when closing it to avoid catching your fingers as it ratchets down. You only make that mistake once!

Quality tool.
Compact, light weight, easy to store and handle and more sturdy than I anticipated. I use it to reach the upper level of my workshop.

This is a dangerous product
The problem with this ladder is that it is very easy to sustain hand injuries when collapsing this ladder. The sections retract very fast, making it hard to avoid hurting fingers and hands. There are a lot of warnings about this in the instructions, but it is hard to avoid unintentional pinching of skin.
