Be careful! This thing will slice everything that touches it. Very nice and consistent slices. Easy to use thickness setting. Rinses of easily and has no issues in the dishwasher.Con:My mom borrowed it and won’t give it back 😥

It worked very well for one year. I was very happy with how easy it was to prepare my salads with a consistent thickness. One year later, the onions are starting to get stuck when sliding them over the blade. It does but longer work with a single, continuous movement. This has lead to a couple cuts where the vegetable gets stuck and my hand keeps moving and goes over the blade. I think I have to replace it now. If you are happy buying this for only one year, then go for it; don't expect it to be functional for longer than that.

The product is an inexpensive handheld mandolin. While not having tried it yet, it seems to have a slight flex at the base of the handle. Careful applying too much pressure while at an angle. You get what you pay for.The packaging looked like a return item although advertised as new. The plastic front covering of the packaging was stapled to the back cardboard at one corner of the top and one corner of the bottom. The country of origin on site was listed as Japan. The packaging of the item received was listed as China. I paid a couple of dollars more for the supposed Japanese-manufactured model but received the Chinese-made one.

This is sharp and trims a lot of time off prep work for many recipes.I even got one for my daughter who is vegetarian.I strongly recommend getting cut-proof gloves to use while slicing.Even when you're quite focused, a small slip could result in a significant injury.I've sliced through gloves a few times, but have saved my fingers in the end.

This product is a staple in my kitchen utensil drawer. After learning how to carefully use it, it’s now my go to tool!

Feels like cheaply made plastic. Very light weight. The ceramic blade makes it even lighter. Feels flimsy for the price. I Iike that it has the 4 levels in back...but that feature seems like it will break off eventually. Better if it were a dial/knob...not a long plastic rectangle you need to awkwardly turn where it feels as if it will break off if you turn it too fast- its a time consuming design there. It just doesn't feel solid. No rubber grippers on edges to stop from sliding either. I slices pepperoni with it. It's not sharp enough on level 1. Level 2 or 3 is a bit better.
