Works like a charm
One way to use these essential oils is by aromatherapy diffusion. This is when you drop a few drops of the essential oil(s) of your choice into a bit of water. The diffusion device will then turn the water and oils into a vapor, spreading about the room. I must have about 10 of these diffusers all over my home! I might be obsessed.... But that's not a bad obsession, right? My latest diffuser is this one by Calily. This device is an ultrasonic aromatherapy diffuser. It does not use any heat to produce the vapors which keeps the essential oils from changing in any way.HOW IT WORKS:So, the way this device works is you unscrew the top portion to fill it with water and oils up to the water line. You must only do this while the device is NOT plugged in. (Safety first) After you have put the cover back on and plugged in the device, you hold the 'Mist' button down for a few seconds. It then begins to diffuse. It starts out slow but gradually gets stronger. If you would like the light to turn on, simply hold the 'Light' button for a few moments and on goes the light. This setting allows it to change colors gradually. If you press it once, it will hold different colors. Press it again to change to the next color. It works fantastically! Made my dog/laundry room smell amazing and not like pee....PROS:Some pros to this product are as follows-1. Not very easy to spill. The cover snaps back into place and does not come off until you twist it off. So no mess.2. Simple design.3. Easy to use.4. Beautiful LED lights.5. Easy to clean.5. Easy to store.6. Does not change the composition, healing properties, or natural aromas of the essential oils.7. Cannot overheat as it does not use any heat.8. Goes off automatically when canister is empty.9. Extremely quiet.10. Reasonably priced.CONS:I really don't have any cons. It has worked great for me so far! The only thing I can say is that the manufacturer should have proof-read their marketing materials before sending out because smack dab on the back of the box there is a typo.Overall, I definitely recommend this diffuser for a small room or even a large living space. It puts out quite well!

Best Diffuser We've Owned
We own two of these. In the interest of making a well-informed decision, I've compiled a short list of pros and cons of this particular diffuser to help anyone interested along. :)Pros:-This is a small diffuser, taking up a minimal amount of space. It's about as big around as a regular canned good, but a few inches taller.-It has two functions. Press the "mode" button once for continual steam and twice for intermittent bursts (about every ten seconds lasting for 5-10 seconds). The intermittent bursts lasts for a solid 6 hours at least. The continual lasts for around 2 hours.-It has several light settings, one of which is to shut them off completely! We've owned others that did not have this capability. It's nice to be able to shut the glow off for light-sensitive sleepers and turn it on for the ones who like a nightlight.Somewhere in Inbetween:-It's a bit loud, so I don't use it at night in our bedroom as the noise bothers my husband. Our kids love them, though. The noise acts as a white noise machine of sorts.Cons:-I find this one cumbersome to fill if I've misplaced the filling pitcher that comes with it (which happens almost daily in a house with a lot of little, grabbing hands). The wire connects underneath the diffuser, so plugging it in after it has water in it takes a bit of maneuvering as it can't be tilted without spilling the water. The hole for the plug is very small and inset, so it can be tricky.-The cover can be somewhat difficult to remove and put back on when the diffuser needs filling. There are dots on the base and the cover for proper alignment and you can feel it lock into place when it's on correctly, but I've found that I have to pick up the entire unit to put the cover back on...which means the water sloshes around, and sometimes it comes unplugged in the process and I have to start the process of finding the hole underneath to plug it back in.The cons here are minor in comparison to the pros for me. The hassle of the filling and plugging in and cover removing and replacing is no hassle at all after a few uses. I like the Calily much better than my Young Living diffuser for its adaptability and unobtrusive size.
